The camp is quite serene. The silence is what took me there and that was what I found. It being very close to Meru National Park was also a plus.

Maua, and the nearby Meru park, were an excellent place for a 3 night stop on our tour of Kenya. A little out of the way but the ride there through mountains was amazing. Maua as a town is not prosperous but we found friendly helpful people and never felt at risk. We even made a couple of friends who took us to a waterfall. A chance to see real rural Kenya even if we were trying to move through the curiosity of locals who clearly didn't see many people with our skin tone!
