- From £130.20 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 409 reviewsI really liked almost everything. From the entrance you can see really nice situated hotel in front of the mountain Massive. It has really nice garden and it is well maintained as all the property. There was a really nice welcoming lady at the reception who helped us with all our questions. I can not say anything about wellness because we did not try. We found a really nice lake about 1h by car so we prefered natural swimming. Parco Lavino is about 20-30min by car. The room was very clean with a balcony with a view to the mountain massive. I can say that whole property was really well cleaned. The included breakfest was also very satisfying. I did not like the presentation, it was little bit old-school, but that is the problem in whole Italy and also mine, because I am working in the industry for a long time and I saw a lot of better presented breakfasts. On the other hand the product served was really high quality with local production and own production. Everyone who take the breakfast should ask for the peach juice. We did get a dinner here because there were some home restaurants around that we wanted to try. I am pretty sure that they are doing pretty good ala carte dinner because the restaurant was quite busy in the evening and the menu was nice structured. What I really appreciated was the economy of the hotel. Whoever runs the building puts a lot of emphasis on saving both resources and the environment, but at the same time the guest was not disadvantaged. AllGuest review byJiříCzech Republic
- From £96.24 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 577 reviewsThe place is just perfect. A very quirky old village just converted to a high standard hotel. They managed to keep the original charm of the small cottages but with a complete modernisation. They are comfortable, warm and cozy. The staff was just perfect and being able to help with any request we had. They also provided a babysitting service last minute for 7 kids, which was amazing! The spa is just the cherry on topGuest review byMassimilianoSwitzerland

Sulmona is really nice, bustling and beautiful, and close to scenic towns like Barrea, Scanno, Pacentro, and Pescocostanzo. We will use it as home base next time we visit this beautiful area. The scenery is spectacular, and so is the food.Guest review byBDascUnited States - 8.0

The town is beautiful and green with trees lining the street. It is quiet in town after the Terme was shut down. If you are a hiker though, you landed in paradise. Gorgeous hikes in the Orfento Gorge and surrounding mountains. Also plenty of interesting and beautiful hermitages to explore. The sea is also not far away if the beach is calling. there is at least one good Bar/Coffee shop with fresh croissants and good cappuccino. Also a couple of good restaurants.Guest review byCoriedaItaly - 10.0

It's such a nice little place with nice bar and shops in the neighbourhood, beautiful churches and view on the mountains. It's a very strategic place because you can reach all the places to visit in less than an hour (the mountains of Gran Sasso and the Maiella, the sea, beautiful towns like Sulmona, L'Aquila, Chieti and all the little places in the mountains during hiking (Caramanico Terme, Passo San Leonardo, Roccacaramanico, Pescocostanzo, Palena, Casoli in the Maiella and Bussi, Capestrano, Bominaco and Rocca Calascio). And everywhere we found nice bars and exceptional good food in the local restaurants.Guest review byHenrietteNetherlands - 10.0

I was with cousins trying to locate the birth place of my grandfather, who was born in Guardiagrele in 1878. We found his birthplace and the church he was baptized in; the person at the town hall was very helpful to us. The town itself is delightful! The people were very friendly and the restaurants were all great. I recommend comfortable walking shoes, as the streets are cobble stones and all hills.Guest review byJudith - 10.0

I would absolutely recommend Tocco da Casauria to anyone who is looking for a great out of the way place but fairly close to important sites. You would really need a car to get to this location. The B&B looks exactly as it does on Booking.Guest review byValFlanUnited States - 8.0

Very close to other towns like Pescocostanzo, uno dei borghi piu belli d'italia and Rocaraso a ski resort. We were in Rivisondoli in August of 2022 and the town was completely deserted and nothing to see after dinner time. Several football teams were stationed there for their training.Guest review byLauraItaly - 10.0

It was the friendliness of the owner that was simply overwhelming. The place was spotlessly clean und very well equipped. We wished we had stayed longer. The whole town was very nice and the locals were very helpful. The location, between the "Sea and the Mountains" was beautiful.Guest review bynikolausAustria - 10.0

As we were at the very top of the village, we decided to drive to a car park level with the old village, which was free, opposite a park. The village itself was beautiful, with many churches to visit that were well cared for. There were quite a few bars and restaurants, but as we were out of season (end June) not many were open, but that did mean the village was quieter, which we prefer. If travelling at this time of year, probably best not to rely on eating out, but self-catering, as we did.Guest review byKenUnited Kingdom - 10.0
