everything about this hotel is incredible: it’s well-located, the design is gorgeous, the bed - super comfortable, rooms are quiet, and the staff are attentive beyond everything! we were celebrating my mom’s birthday, and they brought us a complementary bottle of prosecco. they also had nice treats/souvenirs for easter. and their roof terrace is just unmatched, it’s gorgeous up there! so whenever i’m coming back to Rome, i’m staying here again, no question about it.

The hotel staff were all amazing, especially Florian with whom I had the most interactions. He checked me in, and had me sit while I waited. The manager brought me a cappuccino! Florian provided so much help in terms of restaurants, things to do and safety should I venture beyond the very safe area where the hotel was located (Near Santa Maria Maggiore). I had a welcome Prosecco brought to me on the lovely hotel terrace. Breakfast wasn’t included in my rate, yet they provided a breakfast box with pastries and a cappuccino - both of which were greatly appreciated. My room was very comfortable. I will happily recommend this little gem of a hotel to my friends and look forward to staying again in the future.

    Hotel la Playa was located right on the beach and situated right on the main road where all the restaurants and shops were. The hotel pool is incredible, clean, large and deep (with a shallow end as well). The beach is gorgeous and there is a hotel lifeguard on the beach to keep the clientele and their things safe. Hotel accommodations included beach beds and umbrellas which was a huge relief. The included breakfast was very good with many options and the cappuccino was delicious. The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. We strongly recommend Hotel la Playa for your stay in Sperlonga and will return without a doubt!

    Most of all, the staff - the ladies on Reception (Francesca especially) were delightful and so helpful when we decided to stay on for an extra night. The restaurant staff achieved the perfect balance between being friendly and yet professional. The beach is fantastic, the food is great, my room had a balcony with sea view - couldn't have asked for more really. The location between Gaeta and Sperlonga is perfect for visiting either town. The lifts all over the hotel made getting around so easy.

    Wow all in there! Lucky enough we had the good weather too and was able to explore what we had to set out to do like Saturnian terms, Porto Santo Stefano and the coast.     Really nice camping in the shade of old trees. The bungalow was well equipped, clean. The kitchen was equipped with all necessary equipment. Small terrace had barrier, so kids/dogs can't run out.     Our second trip to Rome so skipped the tourist attractions this time. Did go on a Hop On Hop Off bus which was good. Loved walking around Rome, went through the Pantheon as missed it last time, very impressive. The people are lovely too. Our last night we went to a restaurant IL CHIANTI less than 50 metres from our Hotel which was excellent.

    Large spacious room with large light filled modern bathroom and great variety of breakfast food. Luana & Petro were so kind and hospitable even walking me to an ATM and the local Pizzeria Galleria a few metres down the road. Home is close to beach. Having a cash driver affiliated to their lovely home is so useful and helpful. Highly recommend staying here each time in Roma

    There is no easy walking access to the cruise port or terminals, you will have to book a taxi OR take a bus from the train station to the port (40e). It is confusing and not well detailed by the cruise companies - do your research. Taxi from the train station to an apartment is equally a hassle (30e minimum).

    A lovely mostly little undiscovered medieval town. It’s only small but very cute with lots of restaurants and an attractive cathedral and papal palace. Easily walkable and not very far from Rome. Mostly quiet except on weekends

    The place is very unusual, there are mostly local guests of various profiles, sometimes you can feel unsafe even though there is a lot of police and the streets are lit. The center is small but nice and organized, there is a lot of good and cheap food. The great thing is that it is well connected to Rome, the train goes every 15 minutes and in 20 minutes you are in Rome, which is many times more expensive in every sense than Lida di Ostia. Lovers of good beaches and the sea will not be impressed because the sea is shallow and you cannot swim in the depths because stone barriers have been installed, so all you have to do is splash around in the shallows, which are mostly cloudy because the beach is sandy. There is really a lot of garbage on the streets.

    We were in Terracina the last two weeks of June.

    We were in Terracina the last two weeks of June. We experienced a local feel with few tourists. the old town is fantastic. We rented electric bikes, which is recommended. Then you can get around easily. A trip up to the temple went like a dream in the heat. We also cycled out to the Cantina Sant'Andrea winery. It took approx. one hour one way. A wonderful trip and a great visit where we tasted many good wines. One should also enter a trip to Ponza. The ferry departs from the city centre. An incredibly cozy island. We chose to rent a boat when we were out there, so that we could take a trip to the outside of the island and swim in the crystal clear water. It was magical! We only took a day trip, but we should have included an overnight stay at Ponza.

    Easy to navigate once familiar with signage.

    Easy to navigate once familiar with signage. Felt maybe there could have been more available buses however taxis were prompt up to between 7-8 pm in the evening only. There was no available persons to chat with at the railway station which impacted on plans to visit other places of interest. The highlight of our visit was Montecassino Abby , steeped in history of the world war it was Amazing , my second visit there in 2 years bringing a friend along who’s Polish father fought in the war!! The war memorial was breathtaking to witness as was the commonwealth memorials.

    Villa d’Este was amazing and had waterfalls to rival Palace...

    Villa d’Este was amazing and had waterfalls to rival Palace of Versailles. The walk through Villa Gregoriana gardens down the side of the hill to the bottom of the waterfalls was a solid hike and not for the feeble. Definitely take a couple of hours to visit Hadrian’s Villa (aka Villa Adriana) which had amazing historical half crumbling palace and ornamental lake.
