- From £218.73 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 741 reviewsWe loved the apartment in which we stayed: sumptuous lounge and kitchen area; two balconies (although one would have been more than enough} great bathroom (even a wholesome bidet); wonderfully comfortable bed; large pool and sunbed area; top-class dining area and grounds; no building more than 2 floors high thus sinking into the lushness of the surrounding, thoughtfully tended, vegetation; access to beach lounges; bikes availability; perhaps too many things to list in a short review. I am not a buildings material expert but there was a seeming wholesome meaning to the materials used to construct and decorate all aspects of the site.Guest review byKarmonUnited Kingdom
- From £141.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 932 reviewsThey were correct in every way. We arrived earlier than I planned, but this did not cause them any problems, we got the apartment right away. The apartment was completely renovated, everything was in perfect condition, spacious, comfortable, well equipped. The interactive programs are very good for small children, the playground and the pool are also very enjoyable. The beach is a 5-minute walk away, as is the town. I highly recommend it for those with children, but it is also completely suitable without children. The whole area is cultured.Guest review byBalázsHungary
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 293 reviewsEverything was great! Absolutely amazing place for a holiday with family and children. A private huge beach, large territory, despite this, it is a maximum of five minutes to the sea, a beautiful terrace near the house where you can eat food taken from the buffet. by the way, the food is also very tasty! It is also very convenient that the car is parked right next to the houseGuest review byKAustria
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 299 reviewsWe booked a camping spot for our tent and we could choose the spot in the booked area ourselves! The spots were spacious with a lot of shade and the restrooms and showers were extremely clean! There is a little train that brings you down to the beach but you can also easily walk there. It's a nice walk down the cliffs through a forest.Guest review byTamaraAustria

Trieste is a great "medium" size city.
Trieste is a great "medium" size city. Not the WOW attractions (or crowds) of Venice or Firenze, quieter and a little more user friendly. Simpler and smaller museos, churches and sites. All of this is fine, Just temper your expectations. Central city is very walkable. Great, easy to use bus system. Day Bus trip to Slovenia was interesting and fun. (there are several) Hop on/off Bus is good way to see city. Trieste is an Old city with lots of history to see and learn about: Maritime Museo, Castle & cathedral (small) of San Giusto, San Sabba Rice Mill National Monument (very moving), Museo Revoltella, tram to Opicina is charming,Guest review byphilItaly - 10.0

We really liked the quality of food in the restaurants and that of the products on sale in shops. The staff was really professional, quick, helpful and attentive everywhere. There are a lot of facilities to choose from ranging from entertainment, eating out and shops to programmes. Nicely landscaped public places, well-maintained buildings, cleanliness and all kinds of facilities can be found within easy reach. Flamingo ristorante had the best cozze pasta and in Croce del Sud we also had great food and quick service.Guest review bykonyves70Hungary - 10.0

Grado is such an amazing location with its historical center, cathedral and breathtaking landscape; also the surroundings are absolutely wonderful: Gorizia is such a lovely city to visit and, if you have got the chance, go for her Transalpina Railways in the heart of Slovenia :)Guest review byElisabetta BoncompagniUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Udine is a perfect small City for English-speaking Tourists.
Udine is a perfect small City for English-speaking Tourists. Many Shop/Restaurant/Gallery Staff speak at least some English. And Udine is a safe city. Restaurant and Cafe Owners evidently do not feel the necessity to lock up their Outdoor Tables and Chairs (unlike in many other Cities). I was informed by a local Physiotherapist that crime is not significant in Udine, and I believe it. I felt safe walking the City at night. Defying the horror stories that one hears/reads about Pickpockets in Rome/Venice/Florence and other major Italian Destinations, there is no evidence of pickpocketing in Udine. Most likely, that is because Tourists visiting Udine are nearly all Italians from other parts of Italy! Furthermore, the architecture in the Old City is a treat. So are the Tiepolo Gallery and the Modern Art Gallery (Casa Cavazzini)Guest review byKirkpatrick - 8.0

Our trip was in summer. As a town/area Tarvisio wasn't as quite as nice (in summer) as other places we stayed out in nearby Slovenia, but it was fine. I imagine the location would be perfect for ski-season.Guest review bySteve - 10.0

Gorizia is an undiscovered gem in Italy, main boulevard has wide, tree-lined sidewalks, many cafes and plazas, a fascinating castle and so many churches to check out. Food has been fantastic, people are helpful and friendly. The town is just the right size, not too big/not too small.Guest review bySpedaleItaly - 8.0

A beautiful town with a wonderful atmosphere, in an excellent location close to both the sea and the mountains. Free parking near the center, several shops with local food, and a few caffeterias and gelaterias. An ideal place for a vacation.Guest review byKarelCzech Republic - 10.0

Amazing little town full of character, history to see and good food! Nestled in the mountain range this town is a hub close to many other amazing small towns in the area. Known for their amazing prosciutto and Fruilano wine, this is a sure spot to visit for an easy stay. Bagatto prosciutto offered a great little tour, answering many questions, and had an amazing sampling of meat following. The tiramisu was also great! The person in the info/tourist office was very helpful and gave us lots of different sites to see. All were free to visit (church, old house, etc). Unfortunately not everything was open. Easy to park the car and walk around for the day! We happened upon a bike race that filled the town with energy and bikers looping through the main streets and hills.Guest review byMicheleCanada - 10.0

We were so glad to have stayed in Trieste rather than Venice to catch our cruise, Trieste was so charming and beautiful!! We highly recommend to any/everyone one to fly into and stay in Trieste rather than Venice! Trieste has a small airport so make transportation reservations through your hotel before arriving. It cost us $150US for transportaion fee from airport to city center because it is quiet a distance & we were 30 minutes late due to weather so they tacked on a $30 late arrival fee to the original $120 but still worth every penny we spent!!Guest review byBroussardUnited States
