This was the only Fosshotel our group stayed at while in Iceland as they were generally more pricey than our other accommodations, but we thought it was well worth it!

Staff is super.
Location and view on the valley and glacier, everything is new and furniture basic, but all you need!
We had extra time for breakfast and they cooked extra waffle for the kids.
The wifi was a bit weak in the breakfast room, but not an issue at all.
There is a really nice mini-exhibition with rocks and minerals in the sitting room, with some history about the place with focus on local nature.
Just 15/20 mins from Hofn, with plenty of restaurants available.

This is guesthouse with simple room facilities, but it was clean, and most importantly, we managed to see the aurora from our room itself so that was great! It was also worth it to get the mountain facing rooms - the view would have been very different as the other set of rooms face the carpark.

I liked everything about this hotel: location, view from the window, atmosphere. I was surpirised, that there was big flat TV in the room, though it was not on booking.com photos and was not mentioned in room ameneties.
I liked a lot lime shower gel :)

The lady doing the check-in and preparing the breakfast was super nice. The room was comfortable. everything was clean. Wifi was very good. The location was perfect since the next day we had an activity just 10 min away driving (Ice caves)

Rooms were a bit smaller, but still nice and clean. When we got to the guesthouse, shared bathroom and kitchen were perfectly clean. The cleaniness of shared bathrooms depends on other guests who stay that night.

The waters and views of the glaciers viewed from a far are beautiful. Also some of the little food places reflect the cosiness of a working port. Quaint working port village. Worth a stop or basing yourself there to visit the surrounding geography.

We loved how cozy this house was. We were able to cook and enjoy the beautiful views from every side of this house. It was close to glacier lagoon and a couple of nice restaurants. We went hiking up the mountain and watched the sheep. there is a lovely waterfall in the back as well. Loved our stay so much

stunning, make sure you walk all the way down the trail, there are two other gorgeous waterfalls that a lot of people missed by not going all the way to end end of the trail (which is only a few hundred meters long).

The guesthouse gave a accurate description of the area so we knew what services were there and not there and could plan ahead. We loved walking around and the sights and hikes that were nearby. It was so easy to get to the Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach, and we could go back to see them at night too. The hosts had many recommendations for what to do and it definitely enhanced our trip!

The service was very good. The reception and dining staff were amazing. Super friendly.
Dinner had good options and was delicious. Breakfast is fairly standard inclusive continental.
Location was 100/10 far more scenic than I expected. Right underneath a mountain and only a 15 min drive from guided tour meeting points and glaciers

We enjoyed the cabin we stayed in. The bedding was very nice and the kitchen perfectly stocked with dishes. The playground was fun. The office sells some camping supplies. There are not enough showers, only one for each gender. The kitchen/cooking area is bare bones. There are some nice tables inside. The staff was very helpful and kind.

Great location for glaciers and hiking. Comfortable beds, excellent shower products. Breakfast was very good, lots of options. Bar was nice as well.
Definitely recommend this hotel when traveling through this area.

Absolutely loved the variety of fresh, farm to table offerings, and homemade breads at breakfast. Dinner menu was extensive, meals were delicious. Enjoyed seeing the sea birds, and sheep in the pasture. Views of mountain and bay/ ocean were great. Very close to Glacier Bay and Diamond Beach. Peaceful. Staff were friendly. Highly recommend and will return when I come back to Iceland.

Hofn is great, quiet and cosy, but I believe that staying in the nearby villages is even more comfy. The town has a few great restaurants, a really wonderful little pool with hot tubs. Weather permitting, it has a great view on the Vestrahorn mountains + some nice shoreline walking paths.
