- From £134.39 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,604 reviewsWe absolutely enjoyed our time at Selfoss Gesthus. First we were concerned that the cabin wouldn’t be big enough or warm enough, but it was super comfortable and super hot. We even had to switch off the heating for the night. It is centrally located and has a lot of parking places. At the beginning we had problems with the code, but it was solved super quick by the staff with a key :).Guest review byDaniel DechevBulgaria
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 813 reviewsThere is a nice hiking trail inside this tranquil eco-village, a great warm up to other more difficult ones. The guesthouse has a fully-stocked kitchen and coffee machines, so this is an excellent base around the ring road if you want to save yourself from the insane prices in Iceland 💸💸 Love the large terrace as well, awesome place to chill or meet people.Guest review byNarzPhilippines

We had wonderfull view on the nature, pool was near and we liked it so much. Selection on breakfast was great. I ate too much I guess. Best stay on Iceland. And the local cat...she is one big fluff of cuteness. Thank you for pleasant stay.Guest review byKatarinaSlovakia

We did two day-trips in the full days we had staying here, one to the North and northwest, the other to the northeast. We also saw things on the way from the KEF Airport, and on our way to the next destination on the Ring Road.Guest review bymarybethUnited States - 10.0
Great place in south of Iceland.
Great place in south of Iceland. The town of "flowers" is a good name for this place, as it is the warmest place in Iceland, where they grow flowers and enjoy life. It has the best swimming pool of the whole country, with an amazing "steam room" that is heated with steam straight from the vulcanic core of our planet.Guest review byJonastRussia - 10.0

Centre of Fludir has grocery store, a gas station and 2 hotels - all four located very closely across the street. So we could get full tank of gadoline to drive further and wr had really good breakfast in hotel, but for the evening got some food in the shop. We didn't spend much time there and sayed only for one night driving through from one destination point to anothes as we dind't find any interesting object to visit in this town.Guest review byLauraLatvia - 8.0

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the kitchen but I could have stayed longer. Lovely kitchen and shared space with a fabulous view across the fields and to the Geyser so close. A lot of care and thought has been put into the guesthouses layout and decor. Quirky and beautiful.Guest review byRuthAustralia - 10.0
We loved everything!
We loved everything! The glass bubble and the hot tub outside are fantastic additions to this lovely cottage. Our host was very helpful and patience, response quick. We had the most amazing and memorable 3 nights here!Guest review byAdriennUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Geyser area is a popular stop in Iceland.
Geyser area is a popular stop in Iceland. Although I was skeptical of a hotel, located at a tourist, attraction, the hotel impressed us. The facility was new. The restaurant was top notch. In the evening After the tourist flow slows down, it is awesome to have so close to a cool attractionGuest review byJasonUnited States - 2.0

Without exaggeration, this property is very Dirty and unkept, there was fecal matter on the underside of the toilet seat, the floors were dirty and there was only 1 face towel and no other towels for 4 adults. mattresses were old and too soft, pillows all but useless. at 16:40 they sent and email that reception would close at 17:00. we had a hard time finding the room, other guests helped us. there was no phone to get service (clean the room or change it, get clean towels, etc.) breakfast was mediocre. before leaving at 10:00 I went to the reception but office was closed until 11:00. the experience was very disappointing and the hosts non existent and oblivious to the guests. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!Guest review byMoshe SalamaIsrael - 8.0

We stayed in a cottage several km from Selfoss, but went into Selfoss to eat and do grocery shopping etc. The town was fine, but it's not a tourist attraction. The country itself is the attraction, and it is amazing. Selfoss is perfectly located to explore it all.Guest review byGordonUnited States - 10.0

The small town is founded around the hot springs - there was a geothermal park in the centre where you can boil an egg in the hot spring and eat delicious rye bread cooked in geothermal steam. We also hiked up to the geothermal river to bathe in the warm water surrounded by snow!Guest review byAnonymous
