- From $540.58 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 15,746 reviewsWe had a spacious family room for 3. We stayed at the hotel on 18 Oct, 20-21 Oct. For the first night we had a room facing the inside courtyard. For the next 2 nights, we were lucky to get a room facing the street. On 18 Oct, the USB charging point on the wall has some problem. I went downstairs to tell a staff about it and want to borrow an adaptor. She explained that the hotel doesn't has spare adaptor to lend. Nevertheless, she immediately sent a duty manager (Suraj) to check and confirm the problem in my room. Suraj also advised me that the hotel doesn't have any adaptor for lending but he lent me his own adaptor so that I did not need to go out and buy an adapter at night. Upon explaining to Suraj that I would still need to buy an adaptor because I would stay for 2 more nights, he went extra miles and let me keep his adaptor till I check out the hotel on 22 Oct (don't forget I didn't stay in the hotel on 19 Oct), such that I could save some money and no need to buy an adaptor. I really appreciated the kind gesture of Suraj. The female staff at the lobby counter who first received my enquiry also called my room to make sure the duty manager did come to help me out. I really like the staff of this hotel. I also like the breakfast offered by this hotel.Guest review byLai HeiHong Kong
- From $284.07 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 980 reviewsRight from we arrived we had a great experience. Liam met us at the gates as the Women's Irish Open was on- he was jovial & chatty. Konstantina at reception was lovely, quickly checking all details & explaining a few things. Our room was lovely with a huge tv & a bath & shower in a good sized bathroom. We had our evening meal in Kathleen's Kitchen- a unique location...the old kitchen was great. The staff were lovely & helpful...the food, all 3 courses divine! We received a complimentary champers for our anniversary. Breakfast was also excellent back in Kathleen's Kitchen. We used the pool, jacuzzi & steam room in the spa. Despite the golf competition the atmosphere was relaxed & in fact we used our complimentary tickets to watch a bit & we went on the red & yellow walks around the grounds.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom

We really enjoyed the city.
We really enjoyed the city. Unfortunately we couldn't travel to the coast due to very high winds and rain. So we were in the city for 5 days. We were anticipating 2 days in the city, and 2.5 days on the coast exploring Cork and the Ring of Kerry. We'll have to come back. And we won't hesitate to visit Ireland again, it exceeded our expectations.Guest review byAnnaCanada - 10.0

Kilkenny is a hidden little gem & I'm so sad we were there for only 1 night 😔 There's the Kilkenny Castle, the Medieval Mile, St Canices cathedral & round tower ... There's so much to do in Kilkenny! We will definitely come back at stay for longer!Guest review byTePaniaAustralia - 8.0

Nice little town, lots of individual shops to meander around, interesting history, nice pubs, but only one that we could find, served food! We searched for ages, till we found somewhere to eat! We were disappointed at that to be honest. Also, OMG the one-way system is very hard to negotiate! We left our accommodation at 6.30am to drive to the ferry port at Rosslare and went around the system 3 times in the dark, before we managed to get onto the road we need! Badly signposted too!Guest review byJanetUnited Kingdom - 8.0

If you are looking for cutting-edge city life, this is not...
If you are looking for cutting-edge city life, this is not for you. Dundalk is a former railway town, largely built round the (now defunct) works for the GNRI and with much 19th century red-brick architecture. It has a busy high street with a lot of small shops, pubs and restaurants, none are grand, it reminds me of similar towns in the UK before planning blight took hold. A lot of effort seems to have gone into smartening the place up in recent years, which is nice. Would that other towns of its scale have survived so well it would be nothing exceptional, but as so few have, it has a real charm. As a base, it is well sited to explore the countryside around, which has a long and interesting history, with a lot of historic sites.Guest review byNicholasUnited Kingdom - 6.0

It has a fantastic shopping centre with various food venues but are only a very small number of it closes at 9pm. In the area but here are only a very small number of eating places open in the evening. We were there for a business matter, I don't think it's particularly good for leisure in the evenings,Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom
