- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 152 reviewsMarpunta Resort was absolutely delightful. The grounds the hotel is located on are exquisite, the pool was incredible, the private beaches (yes there are multiple) are stunning with crystal waters and well situated to offer good protection from wind/waves. They're made up of small pebbles which means no sand to clean off and no seaweed either. But bring your water shoes because without them, the pebbles can be painful to walk on. That said, the best part of the resort was the staff. Kostas and his team were extremely attentive to our families needs. A special thank you to Lela and Stefanos at the pool bar who catered to our every need despite being extra busy with a wedding that was going on at the same time as our stay. And an extra big THANK YOU to Christina for the lovely souvenirs for our children:) The house cleaning was on point and made sure we were comfortable throughout our entire stay. The all inclusive option was excellent value for us. Delicious food options offered all day and again the service was exceptional. Drinks are available all day (10 am to 11 pm) I read many complaints on this site about the drinks being inconsistent/subpar but our experience was quite the opposite, very smooth service and consistent pours. The pool side service was great offering pizzas, burgers and sandwiches inbetween normal meal hours. This hotel was a strong 4 star throughout our stay ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ✨Guest review bySashaCanada
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 156 reviewsBeautiful family run hotel with amazing views of Votsi harbour. Maria and her family were so warm and friendly and went over and above to make our stay as enjoyable as possible - even doing some washing for us when needed! They collected us and dropped us at the port when arriving and leaving and advised on good places to visit such as the best beaches and restaurants. The room was cleaned everyday and they were always on hand if we had any questions or needed any help. The view of the harbour was even better than expected. The hotel is in a perfect location with a few restaurants and cafe bars in Votsi and only a 20 minutes walk to Patitiri. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to return one day. Huge thanks to Maria and family for making us feel so welcome!Guest review byNickyUnited Kingdom
- From £130.20 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 63 reviewsThis really is the perfect place to stay on the island. The owner and the staff are soooooo kind and beautiful humans. We felt super welcome from the moment we got there. They also gave us many very good recommendations for the island. The room was big enough and super clean with a very comfy bed. The view from the room and the balcony was stunning. Never felt more comfortable in a room. You can choose from a wide range of breakfast choices every day, which they prepare for you freshly every morning. Everything was super delicious. The port is just a couple of stairs down with the best restaurant on the island. To make it even more perfect this place is eco friendly and very sustainable.Guest review byBeatrixGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 278 reviewsAlonissos is a magical island if you want to avoid the crowds. It is not over touristed. We loved everything about our stay and can’t wait to go back 😀 Alonissos Beach Bungalows have beautiful views and it’s own sandy beach. It is a steep walk but they have a buggy to shuttle you back & forth if you feel tired. Our room with balcony and lovely views was great , midway between beach & pool. The staff were all so helpful and charming. The menu was small but adequate as we wanted to experience the rest of beautiful Alonissos and the local restaurants. We traveled around by taxi which we found easy, helpful andalways reliable, thank you Nico.Guest review byKay VivienneAustralia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 54 reviewsThe hotel is a small one, a family hotel, rooms are great, you have a terrace to take a coffe or just stay laiyng in the sun. The hosts are great, they take care of anything you want. We have eaten very good fish catch by them the same day. They make a great saganaky with shrimps. The breakfast is very good, you have a lot to choose. There are several beaches at 10-15 min by car. Sandy beaches, rocky beaches, the water is blue and clean. În the evening you can go to Patitiri, to Steni Vala to eat greek food, you can try sweets at Eleni' bakery. Do not forget to buy greek olive oil, is formidable.Guest review byAureliaRomania
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 109 reviewsThis place is just amazing! Apartment wasn't very big but well equipped, very nice and cosy, super clean and with wonderful sea view balcony! Walking distance to the port (center of Alonissos Island) and just 2 minutes walking to the very nice beach with 2 taverns, coffee place and mini market. In apartment nr 306 I had very good wifi connection (suitable for work). Very good communication with very friendly and helpful owner - Maria.Guest review byKatarzynaPoland

The view from the balcony is amazing. The mattress is extremely comfortable! A beautiful beach with nice restaurants is less than 1 minute walk. Alonnissos has great beaches, excellent food (traditional and modern), nice weather and a few folklore and antiquities (mainly on the Ottoman period, while some underwater archaeological sites are developing right now). It's good to have a car (and even better a 4X4), since most beaches are not in walking distance. Chora (the old village) is really pittoresque.Guest review byCostisGreece - 8.0
The island is beautiful, very green, wonderful beaches.
The island is beautiful, very green, wonderful beaches. The village is super cute and overall it is a fantastic place with loads of history. Would definitely recommend it for people who wish to have a peaceful, easy going and relaxing holiday! Ideal for couples and families. Some of the restaurants could use an upgrade on the menu. Traditional greek food has a lot more to offer than the standard menu most restaurants offer in the island.Guest review byEpistemeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Nice quiet location, close to nearby markets and a very good souvlaki / gyros place - very tasty and very good value. If you like walking, Milia beach is not far and Spartines is perfect on a calm day. In Patitiri the restaurant we liked most was Bacco. This is authentic Italian with beautiful pasta and pizza, prepared by the very pleasant Italian who provides a good range of beautiful Italian wines at modest prices- wines that have been well cared for despite the heat of summer. A wonderful place to relax and dine. A good range of imported fine Italian ingredients ranging from a pasta to wine and cheeses can be bought from this restaurant.Guest review byChristopher - 10.0

Steni Vala is a small fishing village, now used by yachts over night. There are lots of excellent taverns. Most offer accommodation. You can spend time just people watching. Eat and drink talking to the locals who are very friendly, some are famous. There is a dive centre and water activity’s. Beaches are Peebles.Guest review bySaraGreece - 10.0

Quiet bay with small sand and pebble beach, water is calm and great for swimming and snorkelling. A few houses and apartments around bay, 5-10 minute walk to Steni Vala on a good path, however path is rough for pulling a case if arrive by bus.Guest review byJoanneUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The bay is a little off the beaten track, so a car, scooter or a longish and steep walk is needed. There are coastal walks you can take to move to beaches further north. There are a couple of bars next to the Milia beach, with umbrellas and beds on the beach., although there is also plenty of free beach either side of this.Guest review byNeilItaly - 10.0

Alonnisos and Patitiri is one of our favorite islands in Greece. This is the fourth time we have visited the island and there will be another visit next year. Here, life still goes smoothly, little stress, not overcrowded with tourists. And then they have the "best" Greek restaurant "OSTRIA" we have experienced in our 29 years of holidays in Greece. If you like seafood, try the unique mussel dish they have... superb!Guest review bySmall4estNorway - 8.0
We loved the old town and the beaches were gorgeous.
We loved the old town and the beaches were gorgeous. The amazing smell of the wild fig trees was amazing as you drove around the island. We were only disappointed with the port town of Patitri which was a bit rundown. We felt 2 nights in Alonnisos is perfect. Stay in old town and there are a couple of great restaurants and an amazing piano bar for after dinner - so fun. Great spots to sit and have drinks in the center as well.Guest review byJillUnited States - 10.0

We didn't have a car so it was easy to be there in the evening and use the restaurants there. Two local supermarkets too. We found a path to Patatiri which we could walk in 20 minutes (but not with a suitcase). Also a local beach & others you could walk toGuest review byJudy FUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Middle to end of May was so very quiet and peaceful, you need car to get around to the many beaches and fishing ports, Old Town and wonderful restaurants. It was a little cold at the start of our trip 21st May and we needed a fleece for the evenings. The sea was fresh, but warmed up towards the end of May. If you want quiet, peace and relaxation a great place to visit in early or late season. If you want a little more then visit July / August where it is much warmer, the bars are open and it much busier, with sunbeds on the beach and music in many bars on the beach. If you want to enjoy some Spa Treatments, Lunch, Cocktails, then visit Infinity 180 / The Amani 180 - need to book. This is a family business and Sharon, Mark, Luke and Ewa will make you very WelcomeGuest review byChristineUnited Kingdom
