Maali is very nice and quick response to our questions like to how to get our breakfast and help to book airport transfer for our group of 8. She is really helpful and recommend a very nice local food restaurant to us and help us to arrange taxi to the restaurant. Although it takes around 20mins to downtown but it's not a big issue. We all love the sea view.

Good breakfast and cafeteria was useful to have cake and coffee in the afternoon sand if you arrive prompt at 5.30 an evening meal at a reasonable price. It was a popular meeting place for local people. Used both their laundry service and spa. They also adjusted our booking when our ferry was delayed. Many thanks to the team. If in that part of tge world again we would definitely stay there.

I would think twice about going back too Nuuk becasue of the issues they have with their airport. It was closed to all international flights becasue of the Danish aviation department not being satisfied with teir seciroty screening. My flight was just canceled and had no idesa when the airport was gfoing to open again to International flights. I would give them a few years to get things sorted out before I ever went back. It is likely that during Disco bay icefjiord experience...
It is likely that during Disco bay icefjiord experience you'll see the wales, so a separate trip to watch wales may not be needed. The icefiord remains the most impressive thing to see from a walking distance and also from a boat. Eqi glacier is nice, but less impressive and takes a long time to go there. Icefiord center is an interesting site to visit, as you'll pass the sledge dog keeping site along the way. Do not touch or try to intervene with digs, as this my end lethaly for... them. I found the place terrible for dogs... and any animals in general, as they are kept on chain. First, you need to do some research about Nuuk so you know what to expect. Overall, we enjoyed our trip quite a lot. It’s long travel from California to NEw York than to Nuuk. Once landed, we took taxi to hotel, had simple dinner near by. Then explored Nuuk downtown and had good lunch and dinner. There are plenty of companies to book boat tours, whale watching etc, but we felt inclined to go with the local tour operators, who deserve the business, and really do know so much about the area and how to respect the wildlife. Getting around was easy, as it's a small town, taxis aplenty too. We didn't eat out as we were self-catering. Two good supermarkets in the high street. The people of Nuuk are very friendly and welcoming. It is important to note that when you visit Nuuk, having an open mind and open heart is important - locals appreciate efforts to learn and use the local Kalaallisut language. Even a simple "Qujanaq" goes a long way! Nuuk itself is often seen as a gateway to going on excursions to see ice fjords, glaciers, and the surrounding natural beauty of Greenland, but the city itself is also rich in history and culture and spending at least a day or two inside the city to learn about the Greenlandic people and their culture is a must. For those who are physically active, getting around the city by walking is the best way to explore; however, the city also has an excellent bus system and taxis that are readily available for getting around with ease. Worth noting is that in addition to the typical tourist attractions, such as the National Museum, boat tours into the fjord, and dining experiences, the city of Nuuk also has an Art Museum and a workshop called Kittat where Inuit women work on traditional embroidery that is used by local community. Visiting Nuuk is not easy or cheap, but coming here and getting to know this part of Greenland and the people who live here is well worth the journey!Guest review byDanielUnited States - 10.0

Ilullisat is absolutely worthy in a trip to Greenland. We have never seen such huge icebers. There are good options to trail in the area (Yellow Trail is the easiest one although is not such easy as it may seen). You move everywhere walking although taxi is not an expensive option. "I love Ilullisat tours" offers very good boat tours. Hangout Bistro is a restaurant with good options for dinner or lunch.Guest review byEduardoSpain
