Everything is good except that the connecting road from the main one to the hotel is very bad It is a short distance so the ower can easily do that.

The location is a bit outside Elmina town, but close enough to walk. It also provides a panoramic view of town and castle. The a-la-carte breakfast menu was a pleasant surprise, and food was overall good and tasty. It's a new place which is beautifully furnished and decorated. Our room had a small balcony, which was perfect to watch the sunrise.

The Afro Beach Eco Resort is on a stunning beach walking distance to a fishing village and nearby Busua beach. It is quiet and peaceful, but the staff are always nearby to help. The food was outstanding and the guided hike to Busre and Busua was one of the highlights of our whole trip to Ghana. There are also a few bars along the beach. The resort is a long way from the main road and feels very remote, but once you are at the beach it is a little slice of heaven, just like one of the other reviewers agreed. The rooms are comfortable and although they feel very hot and stuffy when you first get in, the fan is powerful and made sleeping very comfortable.

It actually exceeded my expectations. All the needed amenities were there and the receptionist was professional.

I have sleep in many hotels across the world, but this hotel is really beautiful. I like the interior deco and everything. I really love it.. Will be returning there soon.. I stayed here for almost a month and tried AirBnB and other hotels in Tamale before. Compared to all other options, this is by far the best value you can get. A small room is 250 GHS and a big room 300 GHS. The location is extremely clean, the rooms are bright with a lot of sunlight, the managing receptionist is very courteous and professional, and the hotel is right in the center of Tamale. Due to the double double glazed windows (IRRC), the noise from the main street was reduced considerably. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. Notably, there were no issues with electricity. At the AirBnB around Tuunayili Last Stop where I stayed for 2 months previously (same price), blackouts were a huge issue - about 3 times a week, for several hours. The record was 18 hours no electricity. At Gidi Lodge, the personnel is using backup generators. All hotels and AirBnBs in that price range won't use backup generators to save fuel. For a backup generator, you usually have to pay at least 50€ or more per night. The internet at the Gidi Lodge was fine, and the water was also running (which is not to be taken for granted). Overall, this is an exceptionally well-run hotel. After moving to the next town, I really miss Gidi Lodge. Anyone visiting Tamale should definitely book this place.
