We only visited the city for a music venue for 1 day but should have stayed longer to explore what the city had to offer. Found the hotel staff and city people really friendly and helpful, especially regarding transportation around the city. Thank You :)Guest review byGary PUnited Kingdom - 8.0

We enjoyed Buxton, was surprised at the lack of Indian restaurants- only one and when we rang it closed at 9pm - there is two separate “bar” areas one at the top of the hill and one with micro bars at the other.Guest review byMaureen AnitaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lovely Park with walks, cafe, playground and a great little train for the Kids and the Young at Heart. Nice little town with national retail and independant shops. St Mary's Church is nice to visit too. There are two Wetherspoons and several Costa's/Caffè Nero's plus independently owned eating places too. The Thursday Market is super, with some great bargains.Guest review byGarryUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We had an amazing three night stay - the weather was 30degC and more every single day. The staff at the hotel were absolutely spot on - really helpful, very friendly and happy to chat. The pool is amazing and it was great to see how popular it is. Great walking routes from the hotel as well and a good bus service - we dined in Matlock one night. Quite handy for Donington Park too. We went to wee the world superbikes on the Sunday. A perfect weekend.Guest review byJason HallUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Macclesfield offered a peaceful and charming atmosphere.
Macclesfield offered a peaceful and charming atmosphere. The hotel environment was excellent — clean, serene, and surrounded by nature. We experienced great comfort throughout our two-day stay. The spa facilities and breakfast were delightful, and the staff at reception were polite and welcoming.Guest review byLungoweUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Had a wonderful lunch at The Castle Inn.
Had a wonderful lunch at The Castle Inn. Dog friendly too which was a bonus. Great value meal. A good variety of shops in Bakewell including a fabulous store for dogs - Barks & Co who give great service. Had a take out from Raja’s at our holiday let in Upper Haddon. Very tasty! Downside - their Co-op unlike most in the country on a Sunday actually operate Sunday opening hours.Guest review byRebeccaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Small town, as a good base-location to walks to Mam tor (and back), the various Caverns (ticketed entry mostly), and the Cave Dale - a beautiful picturesque rocky trek with extremely steep slopes either side. Nearest train-station is at Hope which is a little over a mile's walk. Views of Mam Tor and sorrounding cliffs are amzingly breathtaking from this town.Guest review byKunalUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It's a nice Market Town - currently undergoing a major Town Centre renewal, so it should be very nice when it's finished in a few months (the renewal didn't distract from our stay). It is very well placed, short drives to some iconic Peak District walksGuest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Stockport´s location in a ravine with a Victorian viaduct towering overhead makes for a very unusual and intriguing town. Also most interesting are the timber frame houses one finds from Tudor times. Lots of pubs and not generic ones either.Guest review byDominic
