Honestly this Lodge exceeded our expectations, great location close to everything. The room was just too beautiful, very clean and modern. The whole Lodge is beautiful and its a pity we only stayed 1 night. Will be visiting again.

Room was great, no fuss easy check-in. Even though it was next to the pub (which was great to). It was very quiet and peaceful. The view was over open fields. Just a great place to stay.

Comfortable, modern rooms with great decor (Brooklyn themed). Loved my room! Plenty of space for luggage, little mirror area to get ready and fridge/coffee station good. Looked like it had great facilities and catered to dietary requirements. I didn’t eat or drink here unfortunately as it was a cashless property and I had exchange cash to spend.

It is an amazing place with lots of colour.

It is an amazing place with lots of colour. The roads are packed yet one gets by. I found the traffic system amazing. Even when one gets lost one will easily get back onto one's route without having to drive round in big loops. On some of the roads one has a line of traffic lights so one will be able to easily change lanes even when one is stuck by staying behind that wave of traffic. It will take a little while before the next wave is allowed through by the lights behind. I will look into who designed the traffic system as it is one of the best I have encountered in big cities. I was there at work so had no time for entertainment but enjoyed the colourful diversity of the place.

We used to to live in Loughborough until we moved to London 25 years ago. Our daughter and our grandchildren live in Shepshed. So we obviously spend time in Loughborough when we can. Probably 5/6 times a a year. When we both retire, we'll probably move back.

We had dinner at pizzeria inferno, it was really the highlight. Service was great and had some seafood linguini that I am still thinking about, a week on. The town itself is as unremarkable as any town in the midlands. The current politics' events had it also covered in Union Jacks and St. George's Crosses. If that's your thing, you are in for a treat. No wonder Frodo and Sam preferred to walk for months into Mordor, to get out of the shire.

Lovely town. Lovely town square and related old buildings. Very relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of shops to visit if that's your thing. Plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs, if that's your thing. If you need a hotel, the Three Swans is highly recommended. Market Harborough is a great location for visiting places in the surrounding area and beyond.

My favorite place was Saint Mary's Church (Attention: only open from 12 to 2!!) with the monument of Wycliffe, the painings and its very special atmosphere. The exposition in HIGH POINT is very interesting too because of Wycliffe. I made a nice walk along the river Swift where Wycliffes bones have been burnt about 600 years ago. When you stay at Grey Hound Inn (with its great history) eating doesn't need te be a problem. They have everything for reasonable prices.

Melton Mowbray is a pretty market town with a lot going for it in terms of shopping and markets, good rail links, a beautiful parish church, a lovely park by the river, and much in the way of community activities and clubs. The people a friendly. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the village of Scalford, where we stayed is beautiful too. The pub was a lovely place to stay and we felt well looked after, special even, in a beautifully presented pub building. There are lovely towns, historical buildings and parklands and pretty towns and places of interest in the surrounding areas. Lots of history here.
