- From US$187.80 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.2Good - What previous guests thought, 1,202 reviewsWe had a house full of baggage and nothing was ever too much to help us from the staff. A very family friendly and lovely hotel/pub setting. We were helped by a lovely gentlemen and any request was met with a way he could solve our problems. The room was a very large family room with great facilities for our little kiddies. The accomodation and surrounds is your typical old school English Tudor house which was lovely and just what we need after close to 30 hours of travel. Close to the city centre by foot and an ample of food choices or other pubs on your doorstep. Parking is possible at this place too as well as breakfast. Highly recommend this place, probably a lot easier if you have less bags, unlike us.Guest review byIlijaAustralia
- From US$195.90 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 469 reviewsA mansion that suddenly appears in a quiet countryside area. The female staff at the reception were very kind, and the first impression was good. The central hall has been renovated, and sunlight pours in, giving it a sense of openness. The fusion of old and new is in perfect harmony. The vast grounds are decorated with a Japanese garden and lanterns, which impressed me as a Japanese person. The room was clean and well-equipped, and the bed was the most comfortable I've had in a long time. The breakfast menu was extensive, and the restaurant, decorated in a Japanese style, was open and very nice. I would definitely recommend this lodging to everyone.Guest review byMATSUJapan
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 393 reviewsWhat a gem The Wellington is. We stayed in room 2 and it exceeded expectations. In fact, it's probably one of the loveliest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. Bed was very comfortable, shower lovely and a large, deep bath. Lots of attention to detail. I hope to return again soon. Unfortunately an early flight meant we left before breakfast, but for the price you cannot beat this gem. Very welcoming and attentive staff too. Just superb 👌Guest review byKayleneIreland
- From US$255.35 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 465 reviewsThe "Log Cabin" we booked was lovely and so amazingly well designed with almost every amenity one could wish for, all so beautifully fitted into that tiny, but oh so cute and cosy space. The bed was brill and the room toasty at night. Amazing deck but sadly the short time we spent at Tewinbury precluded us using it more than for my morning cuppa. Breakfast was lovely but hurried, as we got going pretty late.Guest review byRishadIndia
- From US$247.24 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,841 reviewsThe staff from the reception through to the restaurant and bar were all exceptionally friendly, polite, and attentive providing a genuine sense of being warmly welcomed as a guest, rather than a customer. Had a lovely dinner in the restaurant, food was excellent. Surrounded by tall trees and expansive grounds to wander, birds everywhere (including some fabulous and very friendly peacocks).Guest review byTimTaiwan

Went for the Harry Potter studio tour. Did not disappoint at all! If you go it is definitely a full day, we weren’t expecting for it to be so good or for us to be there that long. We were there for over 5 hours and did not once get bored!Guest review byChelseaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Borehamwood felt like a safe place with ordinary not too posh shops, not gentrified. Not pretty, but that wasn't important to me that day! There were a few breakfast places to choose from, none crowded, with good level of choice and good prices. Good public transport links by bus and Thameslink train service. Semi rural on the outskirts when you get on a bus, which I enjoyed.Guest review byCarolaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

I was attending an event at Shuttleworth and needed somewhere to stay overnight. Although The White House was ten miles away it was definitely worth the drive. The house was lovely in the middle of the countryside x so peaceful. The host couldn’t do enough for us made us so welcome. The bed was super comfortable x the facilities lovely x clean. The breakfast was fantastic everything you could want x more.Guest review byElaineUnited Kingdom - 8.0
I was brought up in Ware from 1962 and left in 2010.
I was brought up in Ware from 1962 and left in 2010. Quite shocked at the amount of buildings springing up all over the place. Traffic is bad at peak times. Shopping is restricted to manly charity shops. A few good quality pubs, bars and restaurants still remain. A once vibrant market is virtually non-existent. I only return for family reunions.Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom
