Fantastic hotel. Very clean and large room for the price. Situated across the road from Blackpool North Station. A few blocks from the Tower. I was on the 1st floor and had no noise issues. Thr toiletries were to die for. I'm now trying to buy online. The only thing I'd say as a critique and only because I'm fussy with my linen is the bedsheets was a wee bit messy. Just needed to be straightened.....like an army bed.. that's what I like.

The location was very central. The hotel was new. The breakfast was plentiful. The staff were very polite and helpful. The bed was comfortable, and the room was dark. We slept very well. We are very experienced worldwide travellers, and I would say that this is the best hotel I have stayed in for price quality in the UK (probably because it is new). Parking is found up the alley to the left of the hotel.

FAQs about hotels in England

The Small Country with Big Appeal

For a relatively small country, England certainly manages to pack in a wealth of tourist attractions, from Land’s End all the way to Berwick-upon-Tweed.

Words can’t do justice to the capital London - an exciting mix of famous sights, royalty and vibrant life. Manchester, Liverpool and Birmingham are fabulous cities that have emerged from their industrial past to be cutting-edge centres of culture.

Newcastle, Leeds and Bristol are well known for their buzzy music scene, while sedate Oxford and Cambridge are famous for their universities and punting. Stately York still maintains its city walls and Windsor has the wonderful castle where the Queen often resides.

Sheffield and Derby border the magnificent Peak District, while the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are close to Blackpool, one of England’s favourite beach destinations. Other very popular beaches are in Brighton, Eastbourne, Torquay and Scarborough.

With a beautifully rugged coastline, mystical Cornwall has England hotels in the country, as do the Cotswolds where stone houses line picturesque villages. The Georgian spa cities of Bath and Harrogate also have impressive stone architecture.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of what England has to offer, but wherever you visit, you can be sure that Booking.com has a fantastic range of apartments, B&Bs and hotels in England to choose from.

Location, Friendliness of staff, and just basically feeling like I was going in and out of my own home, Facilities always clean. OH.... And the English breakfast included!! I always stay here when I come back to London as I need a few days to unwind. Staff and hospitality are perfect which is crucial as I travel so often. Right near Paddington station and tube/ metro. Relatively short walk into Oxford Street and Hyde Park.

    Busy bustling city.

Busy bustling city. Many highlights, weather unpredictable but adds to experience. Not cheap but holidays are about exploring and adventures. Be prepared to line up, most staff and police are so helpful and friendly. Always something to see and for all ages. train system is easy to navigate and cheap way to get around. You have to see a live show on Westend, search for cheap tickets, prebook experiences to avoid disappointment in peak times.

    Manchester is an interesting city.

Manchester is an interesting city. It has a contemporary vibe and appears to be growing rapidly. It felt a little like Frankfurt (DE) with its juxtaposition of old-world charm and 21st Century architecture. The only thing it lacks is public green space - although the canal network could provide this with development investment. Contrasting this cityscape is nearby Peak District National Park, offering wonderfully lush English countryside and quintessential Derbyshire villages and towns, right on the door step.

Choose your accommodation very carefully. The Sunday, previously the Mercure, didn't meet basic expectations. Be careful of attending organised events at the Shankley Hotel. They are a complete rip off. We ate at the So Salsa restaurant in the City. An excellent selection of good quality food and wine with very friendly staff.

I've been coming to Blackpool since I was a little girl, so many memories are held here and I've always found excuses to come back. Blackpool has so many activities, piers to visit, fun fairs, and shops, even a market. So many arcades and gift shops for everyone. So many takeaways and dessert places to visit. Here is never dull; there is always something going on that keeps you busy, and I always say one day isn't enough for me; I'd stay for a few nights to satisfy my heart!

Perfect hotel in the centre of the city. Shops, restaurants and pubs all around within easy reach. Hotel itself is fabulously classy. Rooms are lovely, beds are amazingly comfortable. Staff are extremely professional and helpful. Always happy to help. Breakfast is cooked to order so always fresh and hot. Plenty of hot food options. Grand central car parking is a few minutes walk and generously discounted by the hotel which is an added bonus if you are travelling by car.

Bristol is a compact and a pleasant city, easy to get to the attractions from the apartment. Clifton village/arcade is worth a visit and off course the Brunel suspension bridge is a must see. Harbourside was vibrant with lots going on and we recommend the River Station restaurant. The Museum and Art Gallery are well worth a visit.

Leeds is a lovely cultural place, with plenty to see and do. Its central to other towns like York and Waterfalls and country hikes. Just be aware if driving through Leeds trying to find a carpark, there isn't any signs for parking, we had to Google and on our return home, I was issued with 2 fines for driving in a street that's just for buses twice! If there's a park and ride go for that as if you have no idea where your going you'll get caught out!

I was double charged for my rooms too and there is no way of contacting them online or through Booking.com to rectify this HUGE mistake!!! After confirming with me at check in that my reservation had already been paid for they went ahead and charged me AGAIN!! I have had to contact my credit card company with my proof of payment and they show me paying for it twice also!! i have put in a dispute with my credit card company as well as my bank!!
