Cool mini-hotel in a quiet little town. Clean, nicely decorated rooms. I had all I needed for a 3-week stay. Laura and her team do a great job to make guests feel welcome. The restaurant downstairs serves delicious meals with lots of vegan options, and they also offer the best craft beer I’ve ever tried.

Really impressed with this hotel. Perfect size .. not overly large, so attention is personal. Breakfast was very tasty. Spa is fantastic … lovely pool, steam room, sauna & whirlpool, and great massages available. Staff were all super-helpful and cheerful. Setting is lovely put in the countryside but close enough to Chester for sightseeing and restaurants. Bathroom was huge. Just a lovely cozy and well-run hotel in a quiet green area. Already booked again!

The Dog and Partridge is near to the hotel. Bonus.

The Dog and Partridge is near to the hotel. Bonus. External appearance of Paddington Hotel could be so much improved by some simple gardening. Some easy jet-washing would improve the external walls and general appearance. My stay was a mere 'ok'. I just happened to be in Warrington that night. Customer service was adequate, but below average. My room was functional and everything worked. It gets an 'OK' from me, but I wouldn't take my better half there for all the tea in China!

I went to Crewe to see the local area. I visited Nantwich and Sandbach. Nantwich is a lovely small town, and Sandbach is a bit bigger, both lovely to visit. The Market in Nantwich is lovely to visit, and there are a couple of National Trust places we didn't have enough time to visit, but we will do next time.

There is quite a range of shops along the high street; the surrounding houses and streets are leafy and pleasant. I found a cafe for coffee / cake / light lunch and the staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and friendly. There is quite a lot of traffic which drives through. There are great activities though as I was visiting family I did not wish to pursue them - there seem to be bowls [on a crown green - not ten pin], golf, plenty of Churches. Quarry Bank Mill [NT] is close by.

Only a short break primarily to visit the Quarry Bank Museum of the Cotton Industry at Styal (which was superb). Alderley Edge itself was an eye opener with an stream of Ferraris, Rolls Royces and Range Rovers stopping by th echip shop (really!). Our second stay and we feel very relaxed and at home in the hotel. We booked 3 nights but then booked another night whilst we were there. The breakfast and bar food were excellent and we ate there every evening. Unfortunately we missed breakfast one morning and I wish the meal times had been available in our room as we had paid for two breakfasts. The hotel is very good value for our purpose, visiting our daughter.
