The Finca is very good and enjoyable for a stay. The apartment rooms have two individual rooms, bedroom and living room with a kitchenette. There is also a fireplace making it comfy in wintertimes. The owner is very nice and helpful if you need some support. The location is good centrally for hiking or whatever you do in the area.

As stated, having stayed there even solo in the past, was a bit disappointed that the twin room was so tight. Fantastic staff more than compensated but I think as a former client, a little bit of speciality would have gone a long way. Still LOVE the place, so special.

The accommodation was very quiet.

The accommodation was very quiet. It was based on a lovely old olive mill. The proprietor was very welcoming and showed me around before taking me to my room. The only downside was the local town which was a little down at heel. The property could not, however, be faulted.

Very nice and comfortable rooms!

Very nice and comfortable rooms! Unfortunately we did not have a room with a view, it was a bit dark but for 1 night it was great. I can recommend it for business stays! The hotel does not offer breakfast.

Small city in Andalusia surrounded by nature, close to many other whitewashed villages with a rich history, very cute to spend some time to walk in there and eat good food with reasonable price. The area is full of beautiful hiking paths. If you're looking to connect with nature, it is one of the good options.

Beautiful quiet house in the countryside. Very friendly owner. Perfect location to relax and to enjoy nature. Be aware that.it is an old house, well kept but low ceilings and a.narrow steep staircase.

We did not see the caves but walked up to the castle nearby for the view. At the same site one can view the dark sky at midnight. The local tourist office is not manned by knowledgeable people but provided some useful brochures and postcards.

Alajar is a beautiful, remote Spanish village.

Alajar is a beautiful, remote Spanish village. A few local grocery shops and bars. A great base to go hiking from. Hardly anywhere to eat in the evenings though. We had a great evening meal at Posada de San Marcos where Lucy really looked after us and sorted out our transport for the following days' hike.

Lovely Posada in a beautiful traditional home.

Lovely Posada in a beautiful traditional home. The hosts are amazing, fun and helpful. Breakfast was delightful, and the location is perfect for those looking for peace and tranquility, a safe and quiet place to stay, and excellent access to hiking, trailing running, and mountain biking trails. Posada Castaño de Robledo exceeded my expectations for value and comfort.

We enjoyed the trip on the little train round the city centre. We also loved the Gruta (caves/grotto) and castle and grounds. Very easy to walk around, everything is within10-15 minutes walking distance. The walk up to the castle may be a little steep for some people but take your time and you will be ok.

Almonaster la Real is a beautiful village that we first...

Almonaster la Real is a beautiful village that we first visited around twenty years ago. It is set in a landscape of wooded hills with good opportunities for walking. Set on a hill above the village is the castle, bullring and the mezquita. the latter dates from the late ninth or early tenth centuries although it includes details recycled from the earlier Roman and Visigothic periods. It is a haven of peace and simple beauty. There area few bars and restaurants but, possibly because of the pandemic, there were very limited opportunities for eating in the evening except for Fridays and Saturdays.
