- From $154.47 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 5.3Fair - What previous guests thought, 996 reviewsSigita, who checked me in, was very sweet, attentive and helpful with information. She noted the option for basic self-catering cottages which you clean yourself have no heating and I could check first if I needed something different (e.g. property offers various options: camping, basic cottages, hotel rooms, full seaside cabins, etc.) Although it was very cold for October, there was plenty of provided bedding (bring your own linen or rent). It was simple but sufficient with a couch, bunkbeds, table, amazingly quick kitchen appliances (supermarket & bakery only 100 m away), patio, and plenty of communal bathrooms that were maintained regularly by a friendly gentleman. For an additional fee, you could access an indoor pool with a steam room, spa treatments, outdoor sauna, bicycle rental, laundry, and various tours including a horse ranch nearby. There is also an outdoor pool and restaurant which opens for breakfast, lunch and buffet dinner. I thought it was excellent to have all these amenities on-site if wanting to stay in a bit more of a quieter part of the island but best to have a vehicle or rent a bike as local transport varies on seasonal schedule if exploring.Guest review byHuyen VyCanada
- From $176.98 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 375 reviewsThe hotel is a historic inn in the center of a very small town. The room is basic, but spotlessly clean and comfortable. The large bed is comfortable. The young woman who staffs the reception desk was very friendly and went out of her way to be helpful. The restaurant is huge and very nice! Apparently people come from all over the region for dinner. The large breakfast buffet has every possible option and is delicious. We really liked the fact that the hotel invited guests to pack a “to go” lunch from the breakfast buffet.Guest review byHughUnited States

Odense has many attractions for young and old.
Odense has many attractions for young and old. If you are a tea enthusiast, you must visit Perch's Tea House for tea and scones in an elegant setting. The Brandt Museum is not worth it unless you enjoy somewhat outrageous modern art including what looked like a dead dog on a small blanket. There are also some great side trips include Egiskov Castle and all the museums around it. The pedestrian zone in Odense has a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and great people watching. We had a good tapas dinner and very poor sushi dinner, so a quick look at menus is highly recommended.Guest review byDavidUnited States - 6.0

The town itself is dull and unremarkable, completely lacking character. The main attraction is Legoland, which is truly worth recommending. The Lego House absolutely amazed me—we had planned to spend 4 hours there but ended up staying for more than 8. The area around the town is green, with pleasant campsites. I think it’s an interesting place for cycling trips, but I wouldn’t want to stay overnight in the city center.Guest review byDamianPoland - 10.0
We were really happy with our visit to Vejle.
We were really happy with our visit to Vejle. I had read that it was an interesting place to visit but was still very surprised how much was going on during our weekend. I love visiting cities I can walk around and Vejle is easily walkable. Walking from harbour (east side) to the Cultural Museum (west side) was a bit too far for our 5 year old to do in one go without needing a snack but overall a great city to visit with a family.Guest review byChrisWexIreland - 10.0

Kolding is a small city, but blended with different dynamic ambiance, people of different diversities are living there. Convenient transportation, old and beautiful Danish buildings for artistic pleasure, a university (SDU) and a public library for intellectual enjoyment. Walking along the roads in the central part or wandering around the lake are always very soothing. Besides, Koldinghus is a very worthy choice, where radical architectural designs back up the old brick wall, new lifestyle merges well with the tradition. They even have a live performance show mimicking the old royal life.Guest review byYang - 6.0

A very clean and quiet city; the hotel was ok; the restaurant in the hotel was serving the breakfast which was very good; dinner served there quite expensive and not too many choices to pick from. I visited Sonderborg since I have ancestors who went from there to Australia about 150 years ago. I knew very little about the town and the island of Als and wished to learn more. Having spent five days there I am now delighted to know that it is part of my heritage.Guest review byRobynAustralia - 10.0

Wonderful old town, charming, great pubs and friendly people. Historic cathedral too. Loved learning about the Jacob Riis connection, of which I had been unaware. Ate at Queen's Gaard. Drank at Strygejernet and Stenbohus. Beautiful weather didn't hurt!Guest review byJeffreyUnited States - 10.0

The fact you get to park your car near the room is just perfect. Lots of room around the hotel and very close by Hindsgavl Slot, which is an amazing place to visit. The shops are only 10 minutes away by car, also there's an ATM. Enjoyed it very much and will be returning there with my kids for sure. It offers a quiet place to stay and is situated perfectly for road trips. Even though its near the highway we had no noise whatsoever and slept like a rose. Breakfast buffet is more than enough and the coffee was nice. (I love a good coffee in the morning) :-)Guest review byStiene80Belgium - 10.0
Svendborg is a lovely seaport with great seafood.
Svendborg is a lovely seaport with great seafood. During the summer the harbour is filled with many interesting old, wooden, sea craft and there are many restaurants and bars close by. A ferry to the neighbouring island of Æreø departs from the harbour every 1-2 hours. The small town of Ærøskøbing on this island is well worth a visit. This place is like something out of a Walt Disney movie. Cobbled streets are lined on both sides with beautiful houses all of which seem to date from 1700-1800's with odd ones dating back even earlier.Guest review byStuartDenmark
