Our apartment was wonderful. Plenty of room and everything you could need in the kitchen. Even earplugs in the bedroom which we did not need. We did not think breakfast was included, however it was and was fabulous. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The private parking at the back was another bonus.

Room was large, tastefully decorated with cute little balcony overlooking some of the roofs of old Skagen. Breakfast was excellent - good selection of a la carte items along with a delicious buffet and freshly baked breads and pastries. Their omelette was cooked to perfection. Lounge area by reception was a perfect 'hyggelig" area for guests to relax with a drink, read, play cards or chess. Had delicious Moules Frites for dinner in their vibrant Brasserie restaurant. Would definitely come back to this hotel.

Gorgeous in every way, great host and team, so helpful, warm, accommodating and welcoming. Svetlana, wow, what a magnificent masseuse, she alone was worth the journey, and then, theres the castle, its gardens, the breakfast, good coffee and the delightful room. So comfortable, we felt like we were very much cared for. Highest recommendation!

We have loved absolutely everything about our stay at Hjorths Badehotel. The staff are so attentive (especially the hotel manager Jette), always making sure that we were doing alright and had everything we needed for our stay. The hotel is very cozy and in an awesome location allowing for nature walks all around. It has a great restaurant too! Would 100% recommend if going to this part of Denmark and looking for a quiet getaway.

It was clean and spacious. Children loved the top room. As it was 0C when we arrived the house was warm and it was so nice and thoughtful. The facilities are incredible, the swimming pool, sauna , steam rooms we all loved it. Children also enjoyed the bauble trampoline and table tennis . In summer , it must be a haven place for children. They both want to come back again.

It’s a small harbour town - not a place you would make a special effort to go to as a tourist, but it has a pleasant hotel with a nice terrace, a couple of decent restaurants and shops for essential groceries. If you are in Hirtshals for the ferry, you might like to stop by for a bite to eat or a drink on a terrace. The nearby beaches are beautiful and really worth a visit - especially if you have dogs!

It seemed like a ghost city with no people. But Skagen was near it is beautiful. The restaurants and coffe shops open really late, can not drink a good coffe in the morning. And we did not find a good one. :-( The supermarkets are totally different like in other cities, the supply is really poor.

It is quite calm and natural. Hjørring itself is a cute town with all the facilities you need. The place is great if you love being outdoors in nature. It's not so great if you want to do a lot of activities. It's quite rural. We'd recommend going to Eagle World. Great show. We'd recommend against going to the zoo in Aalborg. It's tiny and a lot of the animal exhibits are empty. No elephants or red panda's for example. Didn't see any of the big cats. The park is also NOT handicap friendly.

Aalborg is clean and efficient and a nice place to visit if, like me, you have to go on a business visit. Good transport links to the airport (just 10 minutes by train) and seems easy to get around on foot. Food is fine and everyone seems to speak perfect English! This place was perfect for an overnight stay from coming from the ferry and leaving the next day to travel onwards to our destination a 10 hour drive further to the south-west. We found it especially useful that the bedroom had a window that could open but it was on the side the wind came from so it blew into the room a lot. It would have been nice if the windows on the other side of the room had the possibility to open, too, so we could choose which ones to open, according to the wind direction. There was a lounge with TV and a big corner sofa and a kitchen with a dining table downstairs. There was also a cozy little entrance area with a round table to play games and a very comfy hanging chair I loved to sit in. The downstairs bathroom is spacious and clean. On top of the stairs is another toilet which makes it easier for toilet use in the night for the occupants of the upstairs bedrooms. There is also a bedroom on ground level, next to the lounge and kitchen. We had a meal on the ferry, so we did not need to go out for dinner in the evening but from other visits to Hirtshals I know there are eating places around. Just check for the season because they are not all open the whole year round, especially between Christmas and the New Year you might be stuck because most places are closed at 'romjul'.
