I would particularly like to mention the manager Luca Vigentini and the receptionist Lyuba Smirnova. I found both of them to be incredibly warm, welcoming, attentive and at the same time highly professional - always thinking along with me, implementing my wishes: with the intention that guests can enjoy a totally carefree and relaxed holiday. There was nothing that wasn't a challenge and they were easy to communicate with via whatsapp prior to our arrival. The wellness spa with sauna and a swim is allocated for one hour (per room) and was a wonderful experience. The room and view is incredible, for us it was well worth the value/price. The plunge pool is ambient temperature however in May we found that the evening sun heated it perfectly. The sun set and it was comfortable even at 10pm. Amazing city full of history, culture, good food, and good people. Staying near Monastiraki Square was a great choice. It is very central with direct train access to the airport, port with it’s cruise ships and ferries, and the central historic areas of the city. Getting around Athens is super easy by subway and bus if your hotel is in the proper location as well. The system is easy to use and can be paid using you debit card or day pass bought at a machine in the station. Hard to find bad food. Just go to a restaurant that’s busy and it’ll be good or ask your hotel for suggestions. The most amazing thing for me was traveling on a modern bus, tram or train, and then you see giant marble ruins pass by. You are surrounded by history.Guest review byDominicUnited States - 10.0

This is a very beautiful city, the park is amazing and you can use it to travel within the city (we walked to the city center). The public transportation is very reliable and accessible, there is a metro station at the airport. Coffee is terrible, limited specialty coffee places, some in the city center. We liked the hop on hop off bus though we couldn’t get the audio to work on our phones. The MuCee is great with excellent exhibitions and a sunset cruise on a sailing boat was lovely especially if you are young and happy to swim.But it was also good for an old couple. Like us. Like a lot of French towns, it is difficult to get a sandwich type lunch and also dinner in the evening as lots of restaurants closed in the evening.
