We loved our stay! For starters, the property has a decent size rainforest in their "backyard". We took advantage of that and saw a variety of birds including toucans, howler monkeys, various coloured frogs, a wide variety of plants and flowers. They also host a guided tour for free and we took full advantage of that. In addition, the staff always went out of the way to make us comfortable. The place is located about 20-30 mins from the various La Fortuna attractions, so we were able to cover a few of these every day. The wifi was of good quality. The hot water in the shower was good. Rooms are spacious and comes with a kitchen. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes, cutlery etc. There was coffee, sugar, oil and salt available as a complement. There was also parking available for our car.

Super friendly staff. Nice pool, all day free coffee and tea. Entrance to another resort 7km apart with outdoor workout area (incl weights, calisthenics park etc), hot springs and many more pools. Super central but quiet. Breakfast buffet (however mainly costarican food and partially a little greasy) but also daily vegetables and fruit. Amazing price-performance.

I LOVE THIS HOTEL! Waking up every morning and seeing the volcano just made my birthday trip even more special. I spent hours in the hammock just looking at the birds around me and the volcano! The pool was a great size and the hot tub was an added bonus. It is near all the tourist sites and lots of restaurants nearby. The tea and coffee facilities were great and the staff were so helpful and left me a little surprise in my room for my birthday. I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat!

Amazing view of the volcano, the gardens are beautiful and well maintained. Managed to see a few animals on the property, e.g. iguana. The room offered lots of privacy. Breakfast buffet had excellent choice. Staff very welcoming on arrival. Great facilities including swimming pools, spa, restaurants. Excellent value for money. Arenal is a great destination too, with so much to do.

The rooms are beautiful, clean and comfortable, and the 11 thermal pools are warm and wonderful! The flora and fauna around and in the hotel's grounds are spectacular. We told our friends, who were with us here for the first time, to look for the birds and animals we had seen on previous visits, and we were not disappointed! We saw so many different things just walking the grounds and sitting on our front and back patios. We left with an entire album full of photos of the many different birds, monkeys, squirrels, coatis and more. The full buffet breakfast was an enjoyable treat, as it changed daily and surprised us with all the offerings, including all you can eat and cooked-to-order food! The gift shop was also quite a nice surprise as it included many things found in local souvenir shops, and some things not found other places, at better prices! Every room in this hotel has a full view of the volcano which happily popped its head out thru the clouds during our rainy stay! This is a full service hotel that pays attention to detail as, when informed of our friends first stay here, they were treated to towel sculptures left on their beds! We will return soon for our fifth stay at this great hotel.

Very calm location in the middle of the rainforest, can't be more relaxing! It was so amazing to fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of frogs, birds etc... They were very attentive to my honeymoon request. The whole hotel is sustainable, the hot water from the shower is provided by solar panels. The food is very good and the prices are very reasonable. According to the occupancy it might be necessary to book a table in advance, especially at diner time. They helped us booking full day hikes as well and gave us breakfast to take with us. They provided us flashlights for us to go back to our room in case it's already dark. We used the laundry service as well the day before our check-out and it was ready on time for us to leave.

We can’t say enough good things about this place :) Right from the time we arrived, we were amazed at their hospitality! We were offered a flavourful welcome drink, our room was decorated, and they also left us complimentary champagne and chocolates for our anniversary! The property itself is beautiful!!! The rooms are spacious and you wake up to the sounds of birds. The pool and the jacuzzi were great. Randall (at the reception) & Josue (our server) were amazing! Mary (took us for a night walk around the property) and Ray were great! They also gifted us a souvenir when we were checking out :)

beautiful property with a short trail to walk. lovely pools and jacuzzis. The food was incredible as we ordered to the room a few times. The have a hotel taxi which took us into La Fortuna for additional cost which was great as well. we booked tours through the front desk and had incredible experiences! I highly recommend the Sloth Tour, the Arenal Volcano hike and the Coffee and Chocolate tour. I really enjoyed listening to all the wildlife around in the mornings and evenings, it was beautiful!

The on-site hot springs are beautiful. The included 30 min spa treatments (one per stay pp) were a nice touch. The activity (one per stay pp) was brilliant. This place is just amazing! The volcano view is breathtaking, so many birds and animals to watch, beautiful trails right there, the pool was really nice and the restaurant and food was so good. It was the best place for us in Costa Rica and we will get back there for sure!

It is worth spending time in Fortuna.

It is worth spending time in Fortuna. Unfortunately it was raining, and I got influenza. Fortunately I got to do the hot springs, the hanging bridges and Rio Celeste before I started to feel really sick. I enjoyed the tours fully and shout out to the guides for their caring, and uplifting guidance. Fortuna is easy to get around and everything is within reach, including laundry, local travel agencies, and bus service for budget travelers, with route San Jose or Alejuela ( La Radial Terminal) - Cuidad Quesada - La Fortuna.

Our trip was mostly rejuvenation, health and to access the volcano and hot springs. We went to Arenal park and hiked the trail to the Volcano. We saw a Capibara but most other wildlife is best viewed in the early morning. There were a lot of orchids in bloom along the trails. Going to EcoTermales Hotspring was the highlight. It's a gorgeous naturally constructed spa with layered pools, waterfalls all built with stacked granite rockery, bridges and pathways connect the pools, and there's plenty of seating, an open bar that serves the best mixed drinks. The restaurant served fresh healthy assortment of seafood and meats with veggie dishes with dessert at Lunch. The water was fed from the natural hotspring, which was circulated , refreshed constantly with fresh volcanic water. Attention to the holistic elements of nature were throughout. Staff and Service were top notch.

The centre is not over touristified.

The centre is not over touristified. A few good supermarkets. A good variety of food options, with some good Sodas. A lot of accommodation to choose from. Nice Central Park. Many activities to choose from, and easy to get transport to them if you don’t have a car. The Mundo 12 zip lines can’t be missed.

We enjoyed the area and while we did a lot including driving...

We enjoyed the area and while we did a lot including driving to Monteverde for zipline tour, we chose one day of pampering rather than adventure so did not hike around Arenal or paddle board on Arenal. We did white water rafting between Puerto Viejo and Fortuna. We did waterfall repelling near Fortuna (amazing). The people are friendly and the area is lovely. We enjoyed a night time nature tour with our hotel (Noah's Landing) and Nayara Gardens was amazing. We saw plenty of sloths but so much more! We went to the Mistico hanging bridges on a rainy day which worked well-it did not matter. We also visited the Fortuna Waterfall (500 steps down-then 500 steps up but worth it!) If you like adventure- there is plenty. If you want to relax-it is a beautiful place to do so.
