Perhaps the best value for money hotel I’ve stayed in. Very good location, great breakfast with fresh fruits and delicious juice, accommodating staff, coffee and tea available at any time, and the best of all, free access to thermal baths that are absolutely fantastic. Would super much recommend to everyone.

I LOVE THIS HOTEL! Waking up every morning and seeing the volcano just made my birthday trip even more special. I spent hours in the hammock just looking at the birds around me and the volcano! The pool was a great size and the hot tub was an added bonus. It is near all the tourist sites and lots of restaurants nearby. The tea and coffee facilities were great and the staff were so helpful and left me a little surprise in my room for my birthday. I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat!

The hotel is in a very beautiful, quiet and pleasant location. We found the room comfortable and the staff very kind. The view from the windows is very nice but, particularly in our room (villa 12), the view of the volcano was obstructed by trees - which seems very natural to me, since we were in the middle of nature - but it wasn't exactly the same as the photos we saw. The fact that breakfast wasn't at the hotel didn't bother us at all, the restaurant is a 2-minute drive away and the hotel offers transportation. We liked it very much and would definitely return.

    Nayara Springs is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. The staff were amazing, and the hotel itself absolutely perfect. The room was spotless, the outdoor natural hot spring pool incredible. There is also so much to do on the doorstep, with easy access to Arenal National Park, La Fortuna town, sloth trails, the volcano and lava fields and so much more. I can't stress enough how wonderful a stay we had. In addition there are so many options for food with everything from Costa Rican, to Tapas, to Italian and Asian. We stayed for 8 nights and had the most wonderful time.

    This is an amazing place! The chalet is beautiful, clean and spacious. We had a fabilous view of the Arenal vulcano from our window and terrace. Chalets are surrounded by a beautiful garden where different wild and farm animals roam around. There was also a sloth living on a tree there. The little farm they have is extremely well maintained and you can try milking the cow and collecting eggs every morning. Animals seem very well cared for. The hot springs are gorgeous, the place makes you feel like you are in paradise. We highly recommend this place!

    Hot spring pools were very enjoyable in the rain. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and soft. The room was pretty spacious. We tried both restaurants and preferred the one on the 5th floor as we liked the fish offer there and the ambiance. The pool bar and cocktails weee great, especially the margarita with salt and chilli peppers. The receptionist remembered our names and called us by name everytime when we needed something, which was a nice touch. Entire staff was very polite and friendly.     The location is not in town but is very pretty and also the grounds are lovely. The staff are great. The hotel is also close to many activities such as the hanging gardens, Mount Arenal, and ATV trips for example. There is the option of either rooms more like in a hotel or self contained cabins. The option of two pools is great too. If one is busy there is always the other. I would recommend the rooms top floor furthest away but best views and lovely big rooms.

    Beautiful boutique hotel. Immersed in lush tropical grounds, full of lots of flora and fauna. The restaurant food was very tasty with a great breakfast. The staff went above and beyond with making our stay extra special, with room decoration and also with information on things to do in the area. Only a short uber ride into La Fortuna and a very short walk to the waterfalls. Definitely recommend it.

    Loved this place. Stunning view to the volcano. The thermal pools are great, they even have one with a bar with views to the volcano and we finished our days there. Loads of animal life, beautiful birds, 1m fluorescent iguanas, squirells… and their zipline was amazing too! Our daughters of 7/9 did tandem with the guides who were so sweet and helpful. Super recommended.

    We enjoyed the area and while we did a lot including driving...

    We enjoyed the area and while we did a lot including driving to Monteverde for zipline tour, we chose one day of pampering rather than adventure so did not hike around Arenal or paddle board on Arenal. We did white water rafting between Puerto Viejo and Fortuna. We did waterfall repelling near Fortuna (amazing). The people are friendly and the area is lovely. We enjoyed a night time nature tour with our hotel (Noah's Landing) and Nayara Gardens was amazing. We saw plenty of sloths but so much more! We went to the Mistico hanging bridges on a rainy day which worked well-it did not matter. We also visited the Fortuna Waterfall (500 steps down-then 500 steps up but worth it!)     Our trip was mostly rejuvenation, health and to access the volcano and hot springs. We went to Arenal park and hiked the trail to the Volcano. We saw a Capibara but most other wildlife is best viewed in the early morning. There were a lot of orchids in bloom along the trails. Going to EcoTermales Hotspring was the highlight. It's a gorgeous naturally constructed spa with layered pools, waterfalls all built with stacked granite rockery, bridges and pathways connect the pools, and there's plenty of seating, an open bar that serves the best mixed drinks. The restaurant served fresh healthy assortment of seafood and meats with veggie dishes with dessert at Lunch. The water was fed from the natural hotspring, which was circulated , refreshed constantly with fresh volcanic water. Attention to the holistic elements of nature were throughout. Staff and Service were top notch.

    This is a great area to experience Costa Rica and the wildlife. We visited Mistico hanging bridges (great with a guide as located creatures we would not have); La Fortuna waterfall (no guide needed); Sky adventures (aerial tram, zip lines & trails); sloth guided tour; Arenal Observatory Lodge & Trails (day pass with lunch) - all of which we would recommend!

    It is difficult to get around in Costa Rica.

    It is difficult to get around in Costa Rica. They have on main major highway and you must get off that highway to get to Jaco and Fortuna. The roads are windy and it takes forever to get somewhere. It took us 3.5 hours to get from Fortuna to San Jose and it is less than 100 miles. This is due to the windy roads which are typically one lane in each direction. However, it is a beautiful drive. Just be prepared! If you are in the Jaco area, do not miss Villa Caletas. Has an amazing view. We stayed at the Marriott Vacation Club at Los Suenos in Garabito. It is a beautiful property.
