The Senda Watapuy is great value for money: from the new, huge, and beautiful bungalows to the incredible pool and the perfect location to enter the Tayrona Parc (10 minutes walking distance), we truly enjoyed our stay there. We relaxed wonderfully and enjoyed great massages. The app to request services was convenient, despite not always accurate. The private pool of the bungalow had jets and felt great to take a break from the sun during the afternoon. It was also very clean and maintained every morning, as well as the bungalow itself. If you're lucky, you can see titin monkeys in the trees in front of your bungalow and hear howler monkeys in the distance!

Beautiful resort in the middle of the jungle. Great pool, clean and fresh. We also enjoyed swimming in the nearby river. Great location, just a 5-minute walk to Tayrona Park. Restaurant food was generally good, we particularly enjoyed the fish ceviche. Service was very pleasant. There were no mosquitoes which is a positive surprise comparing to other places in the area.

Stunning location, excellent service. We stayed here two nights either side of a stay inside the National Park. The rooms here are huge. Both nights we had both river and sea views. The second night we had a dual aspect room with corner balcony. Staff are helpful and friendly. The pool is a refuge on return from the national park walks.

Speaking of meals, the food is absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared.     It is only a few steps from the sea! The hosts are super friendly and very eager to help. The hut was cleaned every single day, with new bed sheets, which is just amazing as sand inevitably gets inside everwhere. There are loads of sunbeds and chairs of the property and a nice comunal area for relaxing. We ditched Salento for this place and could not have been happier. Salento does not even come close to the tranquility and beauty around here. The next “door” restaurant was one of the best we had in Colombia with very affordable prices.

    Fantastic food from Carlos the cook and fantastic hospitality from Charles and his team! The site is beautiful and directly next to the river. So don’t forget you mosquito spray! Very helpful team, we asked them to store our luggage for two days because we stayed in tayrona for two nights and it was no problem at all. They even offered us to use the pool area afterwards.

    A great retreat, so relaxing and exicting. A great place to explore Tayrona, but also Villa Maria is so good you might just want to stay in the pool area or look at the jungle and gently swing the hammock on your private balcony. The beach near by is not a swimming beach, but it’s a really lovely walk, with jungle on one side - and the eternal ocean on the other.

    Amazing little tent right on the beach. Loved that they had no music and asked that guests don’t use loudspeakers, it made it possible to just relax and listen to the waves. Gorgeous location, great little restaurant and very atmospheric accommodation.

    Fantastic hotel tucked away from the busier tourist areas .Very relaxing , car or taxi needed to visit restaurant's away from this area . Swimming in the sea is not possible due to strong waves but the pool at the hotel was lovely . We ate at the hotel most night and food and drinks were good value . Highly recommended for a relaxing escape

    Guachaca was a nice tiny village to stay in with proximity to both Buritaca and Costeño beaches and Tayrona park. It's easy to catch the bus to take you along the main road to these other towns and some hikes. You can swim in the Guachaca river and there is a hike up to a waterfall on the river as well, Cascada Saltillo.

    In general, the online description of the trail is not accurate. You are crossing a mountain range.... steep ups and downs followed by a steep down to the resort. Trails are not to U.S./Canada standards especially when one adds in the fact that horse/burrow traffic is a necessity for supplies. Hope for no precipitation.

    I loved being able to hike on an uncrowded beach as well as on the nearby trails in the woods … overall it was a wonderful place to take a break . Magdalena beach house provided a nice little breakfast and nearby juanchos was one of the few places to go to for lunch or dinner. They were extremely accident and tried to prepare and cook my food in a low cholesterol fashion.

    For those wanting to hike the Tayrona trail, this resort is close by the entrance of the park, and it is a blessing to have this place nearby after hours of walking in the heat. I had a deep tissue massage after my walk and it was divine. My room was beautiful and spacious. Breakfast here is delicious and very generous. Highly recommend.

    Beaches are not as packed as they commonly are in Santa Marta during high seasons. Nice place to relax while being surrounded by beautiful nature. Of course, not everything is perfect, but you wouldn't expect that while visiting Latin America. As it is outside the city, it can be a bit hard to find good restaurants, so you might want to find a hostel with its own restaurant or book one with a kitchen to cook your meals.

    Really nice jungle park. Definitely recommend. I liked that there is a bus from the entrance of the park to the trailhead (2 miles - it's 5,000 cop). There are also guys who sell popsicles on the trail to Cabo San Juan and they are delicious. Great views along the way, the hike is really cool but it is a bit of a trek. There are lots of bugs because it is the jungle, so bug spray was essential. But, all in all it's pretty worth it. I also really liked visiting the other side of the park - Playa Cristal was beautiful, but there were no buses. Needed to hire a mototaxi to get there. I hope that will be different in the future! I heard there are buses that go there. Can't wait to go back

    The best hostal in Tayrona!!!

    The best hostal in Tayrona!!! Great small cozy and confortable hostal in the middle of the nature with great views. The room was spacious with a great bed and a private bathroom, great view to the mountains and quiet in the night. I will definitely be back soon. Delicious coffee and pancakes for breakfast. Its 8 minutes walking from the road and 15 minutes walking to the beach los cocos.
