This hotel is part of the new airport in Beijing, designed by Zaha Hadid's team. The design is amazing. The room has so many details. It is very comfortable and clean. Even if you don't have a layover in Beijing, you should try this hotel. I upgraded my stay to a junior suite for an extra $70, which included breakfast and was very good value.

The hotel is located in a beautiful part of Beijing and contributes to that beauty itself. The baroque style grandeur never seems out of place as it is combined with impeccable service. Luxury and comfort, not exclusivity, infuse the atmosphere. And it serves as a fitting base from which one could explore the Forbidden City (only 10 minutes walk away), the Wangfujing shopping area, the National Art Museum, etc.

I would like to give a huge thank you to Frank who went above and beyond to make our holiday so special. I would recommend anyone visiting beijing to stay at the Nuo hotel, it was definitely the nicest most professional hotel me and my boyfriend have ever stayed in. Loved China as a destinantion, Beijing was least favourite though, but also because it was Golden Week and incredibly busy, we knew that so we had made the choice beforehand, going to the Great Wall was a highlight, along withe Summer Palace and the Hutong district around the Bell & Drum Tower, we visited the Olympic area as well which was interesting and of course Tianamen Square and the Forbidden City, both of the latter were so crowded that we felt a bit underwhelmed by them. Eating Peking Duck in Beijing is a must of course and ours was great, you can order a 1/4 1/2 or full and will come with all the extras you need. If you go to the Great Wall my advice is set off no later than 6.30 so you have chance to enjoy before the crowds arrive later, and you can always put your feet up later !

From the warm welcome offered by most staff and the ample parking facilities, to the overall comfortable accommodations, I was quite satisfied with my stay. However, the somewhat distant attitude of a few front desk employees stood out. A consistent level of friendliness across all team members would truly elevate the entire experience.”

It's best for the great wall.

It's best for the great wall. I recommend going to simatai for the sunset, jinshanling for the awe inspiring views and panlong for the untamed wild serenity. To get to panlong, you need to didi or get a car to the bottom, then pay 25rmb to get in. Once at the top, turn right (east). You have to come back the way you came(apparently there is another way down but we couldn't find it). Wear sensible shoes. Miyun isn't easy to get around. Factor in the price of hiring a car into your trip.

Travel to Beijing at the low season - mid to end of the September. The Great Wall of China is a must visited place. Had so much fun sliding down on toboggan. The shopping malls are huge & awesome and lots of varieties. People are friendly to help. It is easy to travel around with public transport - subway and public bus (RMB2 per ride regardless distance). Worth of money spent stayed a night at Universal Studio Hotel with 4pm entrance on the day of arrival and an hour earlier entrance the next day. Managed to go on all the rides without long queue.

The ability of the receptionist to communicate to me in English was very professional. Tianjin is very underrated, and at just 30 minutes from Beijing I think it should be more popular. The river, the foreign concessions, and the modern buildings inspired by them, make the city feel very European, and we love wandering around the foreign concessions and the streets of the Wudadao area, getting coffee in the many different cafes. There's also Ancient Culture Street, which isn't ancient but has plenty of culture, the China House which is amazing to see from the outside (haven't been inside yet), the Confucius Temple, the Tianjin Eye, walks along the riverbank... lots to see and do here!
