Very nice and cozy location.
Very nice and cozy location. There is a small tavern in town called Spycher where you can eat amazing Fondue. The ski tracks are simply amazing. There are 2 black ones, 5-6 red (if I remember well) and 3 blue. I loved all of them. In addiction there is an area for kids where they can easily learn the basics of ski. Visp is a small town, and doesnt offer much in terms of tourist attractions. But it does have some exceptional dining options. The one I particularly liked was "Restautant Fux" which has a fantastic dining menu and drinks :-) Other notable restaurants worth a visit are: Restaurant La Poste, Staldbach and Restaurant Elite If hotels in Zermatt or Saas-Fee are sold out, then Visp would be one the ideal places to stay. Would be dead, like the Welsh valleys, if it wasn't for Lonza A.G. The trainstation however is very well served and is a jumping-off point for Saas Fee and Zermatt. There is a regular express train to/from Romanshorn, which calls at Bern and Zürich.
