- From £351.07 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 857 reviewsMy recent stay at Hotel Kirchbühl in Grindelwald was nothing short of remarkable. From the moment I stepped into my room, I was greeted by its spaciousness, complete with a convenient refrigerator and a Nespresso coffee machine – a delightful touch for coffee enthusiasts. But what truly took my breath away was the balcony. It opened up to a gorgeous view that seemed like a painting come to life, offering a tranquil spot to relax and soak in the natural beauty of Grindelwald. Breakfast at the hotel was a daily treat with its wide array of options. Whether you're craving something hearty or light, there's something for everyone. Accessibility is another plus. During the ski season, the local bus stops right in front of the hotel, making it extremely convenient to explore. Also, a scenic footpath leads you directly to the center of town – a lovely walk amidst stunning surroundings. We chose the half-board option, and it's safe to say that each meal was a culinary delight, showcasing the skill and care of the chefs. A special mention must be made of the Christmas Eve and Christmas dinners. These were not just meals; they were festive experiences that added a special touch to our holiday stay. The atmosphere, the food, and the service were all impeccable, making our Christmas at Hotel Kirchbühl a memory we will cherish. I would like to extend my deepest appreciation to the 4th generation of hotel owners. Their commitment to maintaining the legacy of hospitality and excellence is evident in every aspect of the hotel. It's their personal touch and attention to detail that truly sets Hotel Kirchbühl apart. In conclusion, Hotel Kirchbühl stands out not just for its amenities and location, but also for the exceptional experiences it offers. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Grindelwald, whether for skiing, hiking, or simply a peaceful getaway.Guest review byMarilenaNetherlands
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 524 reviewsWe loved everything with our stay. The location - it is set out from the main centre, but a short 5-minute bus ride from the main station (which the hotel will give you a pass that includes free bus rides and discount attractions). The room, AMAZING! The decor was stunning, had cabin vibes. We loved laying in bed with the window open listening to the cowbells. The best part, the restaurant - Oh my goodness, the best food. We had dinner, our waitress was incredibly lovely, we also had breakfast which was so yummy and fresh! There isn't a single thing I could fault during this stay.Guest review byCaseyAustralia

Interlaken truly feels like a dream destination, the kind of place where every corner looks like it belongs on a postcard. My favorite spots were the panoramic views from Harder Kulm (tip: go up just before sunset for the most magical light) and the turquoise waters of Lake Brienz, which are stunning for both photos and a peaceful walk along the shore. When it comes to food, Interlaken has plenty of cozy restaurants and cafés. I really enjoyed trying a classic Swiss fondue, perfect after a day of exploring. For a budget-friendly option, grab fresh pastries from local bakeries in the morning; they are delicious and save you time before heading out on an adventure. Getting around is surprisingly easy. The Swiss Travel Pass or local day tickets are worth it if you plan to explore nearby towns or lakes, as public transport is punctual, scenic, and stress-free. Inside Interlaken, most places are within walking distance, so you can enjoy the views while you get around. As a solo traveler, I found Interlaken both safe and exciting. There are endless outdoor activities, but the absolute highlight was paragliding over Interlaken. Flying between the mountains with the lakes glistening below is pure magic and you will never forget it. (Tip: book a morning flight if you can; the air is calmer and the views are crystal clear.) Whether you love nature, adventure, or just soaking in the beauty of the Swiss Alps, Interlaken has something for everyone.Guest review byMohsenBelgium - 10.0

It looks like heaven...so beautiful, but stay out of the main village for accommodations. Shop at the small local shops on the fringe. Do grocery shop to save on meals, Coop and Aldi are cheap and they the have better priced souvenirs! Be respectful of the local culture and embrace it all!Guest review bypatriciaUnited States - 10.0
Swiss alpine village - just what I was looking for.
Swiss alpine village - just what I was looking for. We had sunny days and a couple of rainy days, both were breathtaking in their own right. Nice connection too to Murren, Wengen, and Interlaken. At night, when the day tours have left, you can have the village "all for yourself" and that experience was almost divine.Guest review byRolynePhilippines - 8.0

Wengen location was great and not as busy compared to Grindelwald. No cars allowed and quieter location. It’s definitely more of a ski village feel. The train station is easily accessible to all lodging. Only downside is the lack of restaurant options compared to larger villages such as Grindelwald. Shopped at COOP for additional snacks and food when needed. Overall had a great stay at Wengen.Guest review byStuartUnited States - 10.0

Stunning car free village high in the mountains, which requires a gondola and train to reach. We loved it. Great restaurants with exceptional views. You could walk around at night and just marvel at the majestic sights and fun atmosphere. We had dinner at the Edelweiss on the outside balcony twice. Magical views, staff was fun, welcoming and always smiling. Had the fondue and gelato, both were excellent! We had a great time staying in Murren.Guest review byStevenUnited States - 10.0

Wilderswil was a pleasant surprise. a quiet residential community a few kilometers from Interlaken, the area is quiet and friendly. A short bus ride to the main train station and into the city of Interlaken provides access to the rest of the area. I look forward to returning in the winter to enjoy the surrounding snowfall (hopefully!).Guest review byAlanUnited States - 10.0

Very quiet with limited food choices. The scenery was breathtakingly beautiful. The gondolas & bus transport were not at all intimidating. Not a lot to do there, but breathe in the scenery & enjoy! We loved it as a base town for other activities.Guest review byOswaldUnited States - 10.0

Bönigen is lovely as it’s quiet and peaceful but it’s very easy to get to Interlaken centre to do day trips in the area. There is plenty to do also right in Bonigen there are lots of water activities and trails. It’s beautiful the lake is stunning. We did not have a car this house is fully accessible by public transport and food can be bought in the local shops or the big supermarket in Interlaken Ost the station you will pass through when you make any trips outside Bonigen.Guest review byANNEIreland - 10.0

Unterseen and Interlaken have a lot to offer. We have spend majority of our time outdoors, enjoying nature. The ski resorts around Unterseen are amazing and within just 30 minutes you are on the slopes but without spending a fortune of money for a hotel, as it is usually the case when staying at a mountain resort.Guest review byJanSwitzerland - 8.0

t's a spacious apartment and was ideal for me, my wife and my 2 sons. The Kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfy and the bunk beds were perfect for my 13 & 9 year olds. The views from the windows are beautiful and there is a balcony as well that's very convenient. They have slip ons of various sizes as well as they request no shoes inside the apartment, a very nice touch. its very close to the bus stop which takes only 10 minutes to Interlaken Ost and run every half an hour. The Hosts were nice and communicative so a big thumbs up to this propertyGuest review byDefy SriramIndia
