- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 29 reviewsWe had a wonderful time at Tshima Bush camp with the family. The tent was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. Russell and Verena are wonderful hosts, who have put a lot of time and effort into turning the camp into a little slice of paradise (everything is made of wood, metal and other natural materials, very sustainable). Our son loved playing in the camp grounds with the animals (Bella the dog, the kitties, Kentucky the chicken and many birds), we loved sitting around the table enjoying the views and relaxing. Verena is an amazing cook, who cooks all meals from scratch (I strongly recommend the lunch and/or dinner option). Sitting next to the fire with other guests and sampling her delicacies, while sharing stories about Africa, was an experience to treasure. The mokoro trip in the Okavanago Delta was the highlight of our trip. Thank you for everything Russell and Verena (and Bella of course)!Guest review byOlgaGreece
- From £329.79 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 50 reviewsAbsolutely everything. Scott and Casey were very caring hosts, the staff super friendly and efficient, exceptional meals. Tha chalets positioned overlooking the river. The morning walk with Thomas the guide was fascinating, excellent birder. Saw 3 Pells fishing owls. Met all expectations of what a lodge on the Okavango should be.Guest review byColinSouth Africa

We did not stay for long, but for stocking up the twon a good amount of shops and chain stores you may also know from South Africa. Unfortunately, the croc farms seems to have closed down, the local game park was closed for rehabilitation, and the museum was closed for the weekend.Guest review byBuk - 4.0

Comfortable cabins with nice location and great potential if you want to be out of Maun but need to make sure if food is available and to pay on arrival to avoid problems with payment as staff not present on site earlyGuest review byJessicaSouth Africa - 6.0

We were disappointed, we were under the impression that we could drive around in the area and on the premises, but you have to book for game drives. The water hole is on the side for the tented camp visitors, the people camping does not really have access. The camping is a good stop over for one night, but a longer stay will is not recommended.Guest review byHengeleneSouth Africa - 8.0

For tourists going into the delta I recommend at least a day in Maun to check out the local sights and meet some of the locals. Botswana and Maun in particular see tourists come in and go straight out to the delta, so no added benefit to the residents just a constant flow of people leaving nothing of benefit to the local community Stop over in a local hotel, there are plenty to suit every ones finances, interact with the local community there is lots to do and seeGuest review byAnonymous - 2.0

When you see distance to town center for hotels in Maun, don't be deceived like I was. Town center is a ratty 4 way stop, nothing you want to be too close to. There are a few places in Maun that may be OK but you have to do your research and they are spread out.Guest review bybschranzUnited States
