Completely renovated facilities, everything was very clean and new. The breakfast and lunch buffet offered a very nice variety of cold and warm options. The wellness area was also very cosy. And the staff is always friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend it.

We're so glad we decided to make a short detour on our Bulgarian roundtrip to visit Beli Iskar. The hotel is just great: A beautiful, clean room & the restaurant - with the friendliest of personnel - was one of the best throughout our holiday. The nice surroundings (viz. amazing eco trail nearby & a short drive to the Rila monastery) topped it all of. Thanks to the team!

Everything was great, the view from the window really magical. If I'm not mistaken the hotel is being renovated. Also the spa services were closed. The room was spotless and the food we tried very tasty. The staff is kind. I hope we come back in snowy weather.

    The Location is just pure and in middle of Forest and very near to Monastery. The hotel was magical and the host there, were just amazing and very helpful. If you are staying there, you wont like to miss the food there. I tried two different cuisines (Kavarma and Trout fish), mann I am still having my taste. I just want to eat as much as I wanted to eat but given timeline couldn’t. Wish one day I visit Bulgaria, I will just go there to eat. The best part what I loved about this facility is that you feel like a home. I had top floor, so the roof windows and guess what, I slept both nights gazing stars. You have all the amenities in the room, you just name it. Room was really comfortable and you bet open a window and birds in nature will welcome you with their sound and river sound will kiss your ears gently.

    The location was perfect. The food was good. The spa was very nice after a day skiing. My partner and I stayed in a superior double room with a beautiful view of the ski slopes and mountains. The bed was enormous and very comfortable The bathroom had a bath and shower, which we loved, and the actual toilet was in a separate room from the bathroom.

    The location is just wonderful. Of course, you have to a car to get up, but once you do, it is an amazing experience! The restaurant in the hotel is really great - super tasty local (and not only) food and drinks. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast there and all were wonderful + also great price performance.

    My family and I stayed in Borovets in early May, and even though the ski lift was out of service, we had a wonderful time. We explored several nature trails, like the scenic Beli Iskar path, which were perfect for family walks surrounded by stunning mountain views. The kids loved our horseback riding adventure through the Rila Mountains, and we easily spent a relaxing half-day at the hotel’s spa, unwinding in the pool and saunas. Borovets offered plenty of activities to keep us entertained, making it a great destination even outside ski season

    It is a magical remote location situated in an amazing forest.Clean, fresh air and beautiful forest of tall pine trees. Very well maintained and cute surroundings. It is not exactly a village but a remote location with few mountain hotels .Perfect for hiking to the Seven Rilla Lakes or other less difficult hikes.You need a car for sure but there are also buses from Sofia passing through.The lift is far for a walking distance .It is around 6.5 km from there.

    This is the iconic monastery of Bulgaria. It is free and well worth the visit. It should only take you about two hours to see the whole monastery. Make sure to out the back side of the monastery and buy some makitsa.

    Great villa in silent area with fantastic view on the mountains and fields from the bedrooms, balcony and terrace. The villa is new , clean and very comfortable, equipped with everything you need and even more. Supermarkets, restrants are in 15 min drive, many walking trails around: Seven Lakes, Rila monastery, Borovets etc. And Lili the Host is amaizing: very friendly and helpful and available in any time. Will definitely recommend this place and hope to come back again

    The hotel was nice with great view and private parking.

    The hotel was nice with great view and private parking. It's a great place for a city break. The food in the restaurant was nice. What we didn't like was that the hot water in the hotel was not with optimal water temperature for a shower. At the reception they explained that they are using solar water heaters and these days the weather was cloudy. Hope that they are going to fix this in the future. :)

    Nice slopes. Expensive hotels close to the slopes. But you can stay at any hotel and come up to the slope by car, 10..15 BGN the parking fee. The Rila hotel is cool (the indoors pool) but you need to plan in advance the stay. Also, if you do not have kids try to plan your stay when schools are not in vacation in Romania and/or England.

    Very friendly and helpful staff, great car parking, comfortable bed, good wifi, nice swimming pool (a little on the small side). Very good breakfast with a good choice of different options. On the down side, no lift, no air-conditioning and a little deceptive to mention that the Rila Monastery was about 16km away...not CLEARLY mentioning that this is in a straight line. It is a one and a half hour drive..... 😔

    There was enough to see at the monastary, even though most museums there seemed no to be open (it was February!). Entrance is free but be ready to pay 5 levs for parking (you do get all day for that). The area has dramatic scenery with some other things to see other than just the Monastary. We visited the grave of James Baucher and discovered why Sofia has a station named after this Irishman!

    Borovets is destroyed! Too many builders' works.

    Borovets is destroyed! Too many builders' works. Everything everywhere is covered with mud or fine muddy sand. There are many abandoned buildings in some mid-construction state. Our car was covered in mud outside and inside. My childhood memories of a nice place for fun and relaxation in the mountains were wiped out and replaced by the awful muddy place I wouldn't want to visit again. There are no sidewalks; and if some are visible, they are either completely covered with meter-deep ice and snow or partially destroyed, uneven, and muddy, so the tourists have to walk between the moving cars, especially with ski boots it's impossible to walk on the almost gone and covered-in mud sidewalk. The only good thing was the designated areas for snow sleds. This made a difference compared to other places we visited, like Bansko or Vitosha. The kids had good fun. Unfortunately, the fun on the slope ended up with going back to the mud that was all around.
