The hotel will be even better in the near future when work on a pool in the grounds is completed. We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent, as was the inclusive breakfast. Log fire in the restaurant gave a cosy ambiance.

Out of the ordinary house filled with random objects, lights and arts items. Some people will find it warm and cozy but some might not like it. The host is extremely nice and helpful if you have any problem or any question.

Second time staying here, great apartment. Clean, spacious, great shower! Lots of equipment to be able to cook if you need to. Really comfy beds. Great location. Terraces are great in sunny weather. Hosts very friendly.

Good location for us, very comfortable rooms. The restaurant & bar have a great atmosphere and staff are always pleasant, efficient and helpful. This was our 2nd stay here and we will definitely return.

Unfortunately, we hadn't planned to stay for more than the one night, so we missed the chance to see around the area - in particular to visit the local war memorials, which we understand are very moving and must be seen! We hope to rectify this in the future.

Hostellerie Kemmelberg is in a stunning but rather sad location as it overlooks "Flanders Field" where there are memorials to WW1 fighters every few km, including one 200 m down the lane. The location is great, the food can be excellent, BUT be warned, you are fed at the discretion of an arrogant and dismissive Chef, who is entirely happy for you to wait 2 hours between courses, while he potters about doing other things. You thought you were there to eat, he has other ideas. You have been warned...

Dranouter is approximately 8 miles from leper , and was very handy for my two night stop, leper was very handy to visit as were all the commonwealth world war one historical routes. The staff and food and accommodation were first class. The hotel sits on fabulous countryside, ideal for country walks and cycling. Would certainly stay here again on my next trip, absolutely fantastic.
