- From £75.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 2,754 reviewsThe room wasn’t very spacious, but it was more than enough for a short stay with the family. The view was nice, and there was a famous restaurant within walking distance. On weekends, breakfast was available at the restaurant in the same building, and it was absolutely delicious. The staff at the reception were also very kind. It felt like too nice a place to stay for just one night.Guest review byIngyuSouth Korea
- From £82.92 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,164 reviewsThe cleaning staff came everyday and did a general clean but also replenished the water in the fridge and the shower gels in the bathroom. I arrived in the morning and the staff in reception were kind enough to take my number and message me when the room was ready so I could check in early. The smart TV was a nice way for me to just chill out and turn in for the night.Guest review byDanielIreland

Great town to visit - proximity to great landscapes such as Ben Lomond, Liffey Falls, Cradle Mountain and Strahan, nearby wine regions and of course Hobart, the south and west is just a couple of hours or so drive away. Beautiful town with its own great attractions - great place to chill and enjoy on foot, enjoy fantastic produce of all descriptions, and go to great restaurants both local and regional every day.Guest review byJohnAustralia - 10.0

Grindelwald is in a quiet elevated position in Legana on the Tamar River. As such provides a peaceful relaxing get away with the convenience of a 15 minute trip to Launceston City Centre, and easy access to anywhere along the West Tamar, and via the Batman Bridge also the East. We have stayed on two occasions and both have been good experiences. Wi-fi coverage was a little patchy at times, with mobiles occasionally unable to connect to the internet, or downloading information quite slowly. Other than that, a highly recommended stop for those seeking peace and quiet and a chance to recharge the batteries. It has a small shopping centre, a golf course, and a splash golf range for kids to enjoy, and from signs of construction work, it appears more facilities will soon be added. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to get away from it all.Guest review byStuartAustralia - 10.0

A nice, clean, spacious & tidy place. Attractive & comfortable settings; owner should be a designer, Good communication with host Pete. My wife & I will definitely stay in this place again in the future. I would highly recommend this place if one visits Rosevears or north Launceston.Guest review byJamesAustralia - 10.0

Beauty point was a peaceful, secluded little town with plenty of water in which to swim or on which to paddle. The platypus world and seahorse world and creation display were excellent activities which the kids really enjoyed as well as the adults. Without a boat, it’s not a place I could stay for two weeks, but it was certainly a lovely relaxing place to be for a few days.Guest review byGayleAustralia - 8.0
The unit was comfortable and cozy.
The unit was comfortable and cozy. It was a three star accommodation that had all the amenities we required. We used the unit as a base and travelled to different destinations each day and found it in a good area to avoid the traffic at peak hours.Guest review byHelenNew Zealand - 10.0

Very chilly, with a cold wind at the time of our visit, but we drove around so I could take photos of the many beautiful old buildings & homes. Spent a very interesting time at the Pilot Station museum , and cafe there, having a truly scrumptious lunch. The history and artifacts in the museum was far more interesting than i expected, and the guardian volunteers who "man" the entrance were so interesting in their narration. The Low Head area is lovely also, and our highlight of that area was the Penguin Tour at dusk on our first evening, and the absolutely great accommodation and food at the Comfort Inn, The Pier was beautiful, with the waterfront right outside our door.Guest review byLorraineAustralia - 6.0

Excellent breakfast selection, very thoughtful touches to room, very warm and comfortable, I also liked the "share-house" vibe while retaining privacy. But unpleasant experience with host: my flight was cancelled so I couldn't be there for the first night, then work rescheduled so I didn't stay for the third night. The host was concerned that she would lose income from the booking, complaining that she paid her mortgage from income from hosting, UNTIL she realised that I had already paid and then she quickly switched to refusing my query about a refund, that she couldn't because I hadn't given 48 hours notice (which was impossible in the circumstances). Booking.com was also very unhelpful - other sites do a better job with this.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Launceston is a charming city with a relaxed vibe and beautiful surroundings. The historic architecture, scenic Tamar River, and nearby natural attractions like Cataract Gorge make it a perfect spot for both sightseeing and relaxation. Friendly locals and cozy cafes add to the welcoming atmosphere.Guest review byBerylMalaysia - 6.0

Overrated - Minimal Facilities. OK for an afternoon visit, nothing more. Handful of shops and a couple of activities. OK for a base to explore the area but not to stay at for long without going elsewhere for things to do. Plenty of Vineyards in the area :-)Guest review byDamo2876Australia - 6.0

The actual cleanliness and presentation was not the usual Rosevears I have always enjoyed. Charge doesn't reflect the cleanliness, the roughly laundered towels and minimal tea bags supplied. Fridge needed defrosting.Guest review byJanetAustralia
