- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 455 reviewsWe stayed in a cabin, which had a kitchen, lounge, dining area and one double bedroom, with an ensuite. Everything was very spacious and light filled. The bathroom was a great size, with a very large shower and plenty of hot water. The bedroom was also a great size, had a tv, fan and big wardrobe, with shelving and hangers, an ironing board and an iron. The kitchen is very well equipped and has a fridge/freezer, microwave and cooktop. Good bench space, with a toaster and jug. Lots of drawers, cupboards and there is a good selection of crockery, cutlery and pots. Dining table, another Tv, aircon, fan and a lounge suite. Parking beside the cabin as well. The owners are lovely and recommended drives to us (the weather wasn't great), with suggestions off the normal tourist track. There are walks from the park to the surf beach and the quieter beach. There was a coffee van, a swimming pool which can be accessed, playgrounds and a big park. Lots of facilities for campers and caravaners. The park is full of trees, so very shady too. We found it very quiet and peaceful. Very short walk to the town centre with a great choice of cafes, bakeries, restaurants and clubs and pubs. We would definitely return here.Guest review byHelenSpain
- From £196.83 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 610 reviewsReally every moment of this stay was lovely. There are nice little touches in the room that make it feel cozy and like a home - the balconies are flooded with light so you can have a beverage while your beachy clothes dry and listen to drum circles on the beach. They have bikes you can rent which are super helpful to tool around town - and the beach is ...right there. Staff is lovely as well. Would highly recommend and wanted there on my return to Byron from Yamba but they were booked!Guest review byElizabethUnited States

We arrived at night in drkness so it was difficult to get a fix on location and most things were closed as it was winter. However, it was a lovely harbour and area during the daylight to walk and grab a coffee.Guest review byFionaUnited Arab Emirates - 10.0
A beautiful bay nestled in the coast line.
A beautiful bay nestled in the coast line. Lives up to its description of being picturesque. The lighthouse was worthy of a tour and the guide very informative and interesting. Enough "up-market" but also reasonably priced eating establishments. A few towns within driving distance that were worth visiting e.g. Bangalaw.Guest review byAlisonAustralia - 10.0

Port Macquarie is a town of about 50,000 people spread over quite a wide area. In 1821, Port Macquarie was founded as a penal settlement, replacing Newcastle as the destination for convicts who had committed secondary crimes in New South Wales. For the tourist, there is a lot to see and do, with a walk along the marina, the Breakwell and the coastal path a must. Beautiful beaches such as Town Beach, Shelley Beach, Oxley Beach and Flynn Beach - all within a few kilometers. A Hastings River cruise is a must. Driving around Port Macquarie is easy.Guest review bymulga billAustralia - 8.0

Wonderful little town, friendly locals, very cold, great pubs but a tad quiet in the evening for we Sydney Siders!! lol The White Bull Hotel is lovely. Wonderful Italian restaurant inside too. Didn't stay long enough, just stopped for one night.
Didn't stay long enough, just stopped for one night. Had dinner at RSL in the cafe which was good, but later found out they had specials which staff didn't mention the locals told us after. Staff at front door were friendly. Unfortunately weather wasn't the best so didn't do much looking around. Next time will stay longer.Guest review byGemenis - 10.0

Lovely, relaxed, beautiful place, lots of great places to walk to. We had breakfast at the local Bakehouse which was really nice and had evening meals at the Golf Club and at the Mexican on Coldstream St. Visited the nearby town of MacLean which was really nice too, especially interesting for anyone with Scottish heritage. We saw lots of dolphins at Convent Beach and there were lots of great places to do whale watching. Watching the sunrise from the lighthouse was stunning.Guest review byNat TAustralia - 8.0

We needed a place for the night which was clean and comfortable and the Blue Pelican suited all our requirements as we were not on holiday, just passing through on a long journey. The bed was comfortable, and the rooms was clean and neat. The Club across the road was just right. The BIstro was very well priced and we had a good choice of meals but enjoyed a roast pork dinner.Guest review byMarilynAustralia - 10.0

A quiet beachside town with many amenities including surf and bowling clubs, cafes and restaurants, and dress, book and gift shops. We loved Mahsuri Thai, The Salt Mill for great coffee and hot chocolate, and Cudgen Headland Surf Life Saving Club for their Italian night on Wednesdays. Walks along the beautiful beach were a highlight of our stay. Only downside, there was only one off leash area for our dogs and it was a drive away from the town and our holiday rental which meant wet & sandy dogs in our car.Guest review byHelenAustralia - 10.0

A great spot for families to holiday, beautiful walk along the riverfront and out to the end of the 'V' wall breakwater at the entrance of Nambucca River to the ocean. You can occasionally spot dolphins and whales. The funky painted rocks/concrete cubes along the 'V' wall are fun to read telling tales of happy family holidays year after year.Guest review byVirginiaAustralia - 8.0
