We always try to stay in a boutique hotel when we travel. This ticks all the boxes from room to facilities and the most friendlies of staff. Close proximity to restaurants and if you're lucky enough to be there on a Friday, a fresh produce market in the town square just outside the front door. We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the HOLZGAU HOUSE! Christine is an exceptional host looking at every detail to make sure everyone has a pleasant stay. The food and views are amazing as well as for those who ski, the Arlberg area is a great skiing resort. Cannot recommend this place enough!

    I stayed for two nights during the music festival and absolutely loved this hotel. It is a small property, but the interior design is stylish, and the homely atmosphere made it very relaxing. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly and genuinely hospitable. The breakfast buffet was excellent and very varied. I believe even with a longer stay, one would never get tired of it. It was my first time visiting Bregenz, and I found the town absolutely charming. I would love to come back and stay here again for the festival next year.

    Our stay at TUI Blue Montafon was simply perfect. A special mention goes to the attention and friendliness of all the staff, who were always helpful and welcoming. The hotel offers a wide variety of services, and the free access to the nearby swimming pools is a fantastic extra for relaxing after a day of exploring. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very clean, and the breakfast buffet is outstanding, both in quality and variety. Overall, an excellent experience. Thank you very much – we look forward to coming back!

    This is a great place! Beautiful location, and the staff takes excellent care of it. Clean modern rooms with nice views. The restaurant offers several options for dinner and all of excellent taste. Local products are used. Great advice from the sommeliere for Austrian wines. Excellent breakfast. Huge spa area, swimming pool and garden. Hiking, biking, sightseeing - lots of options nearby. Staff is polite, friendly and well-trained.

    We arrived too late for the normal check-in. I contacted the hotel via Booking the moment I saw we were running late, they answered quickly and arranged everything for us.     We were in Bregenz on the 23rd and 24th of August 2025. It was a coincidence that the Hafen Fest was on those days, and I cannot judge what is Bregenz usually like. For us there were too many people on the lake shore... but I know some people love this. The best places for me, must-sees: 1. Pfänderbahn (in good weather) 2. Lake shore (always, but especially at sunset) 3. Old downton (and Uppertown) We went everywhere on foot, and it suited us perfectly well.

    Close to Bregenz and Bodensee (Lake Constance), perfect location to explore the region without moving your car. Our hotel provided Voralberg card during our stay, so buses/trains are free. Wide selection of nice restaurants are in the centre.

    Useful stepping off point for experiencing the Montafon area on foot; or, as a base for exploring Montafon by bus or car. Trains to Tschagguns / Schruns are easy. I went London - Paris (Eurostar) - Zurich (TGV Lyria) - Bludenz - Tschagguns in one day. In Tschagguns I like the the Gasthof Lowen (Austrian food) and Dimis the greek restaurant. The pizza place is fine too but the others are I think the best!

    Definitely a place to be there. To discover Vorarlberg it’s the central point, you not far from everything. And Hohenems itself is nice and interesting with a Jewish Museum and some more tourist attractions.

    Cute clean little town flanked by mountains. Pedestrian-only quarters very charming with chic boutiques and smack bakeries/cafes. We did not have enough time to trudle explore the town as our hotel was located in nearby Stallehr. Tip: Fine dining, Golf and RVing in nearby Braz, at Hotel Traube.

    It is a beautiful town with many things to see and places to eat. Our Highlight was the Opera on the lake which was amazing. I am 79 years old and my grand daughter is 14 years. The opera is ageless. we both enjoyed it and will be talking about it for years to come.

    We were only there for a one night stopover. Had a walk around to find a dinner and saw there was more to the village than we thought. Found a great Chinese restaurant. The town has all necessary amenities, reasonable prices and very close to Bregenz.

    I did not know anything about Feldkirch prior to my visit,...

    I did not know anything about Feldkirch prior to my visit, other than that it was the westernmost train station in Austria I could travel to in order to get to Liechtenstein. Feldkirch has inventive and unique tourist brochures which really enhanced my stay and let me learn a lot about the city. The old town is very charming with a laid-back vibe (walkable from the train station), the hillside houses are very picturesque, and I enjoyed this city way more than I was expecting. I am glad I stayed overnight in Feldkirch to facilitate my trip to Liechtenstein. Now that I know more, I consider it worth a trip even without Vaduz on the itinerary.
