The hotel is located a short walk from the Old Town. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was very tasty. The hotel is located on the upper floors of the shopping center (separate entrance and staircase). Parking spaces in the underground car park in the shopping center (inside there are signs leading to the entrance of the hotel). The old town is beautiful and the city of Steyr can be treated as a stop on the way to the Alps.

Restaurant for breakfast and dinner are just excellent. The restarant was professionaly designed. The staff is very professional. The room has own AC, but there was no need to use it even the weather was very warm. Cosmetics (shampoo, soap and body loation) was much better quality then other place is stayed. I appreciated a reasonable sized desk to work on laptop. The socked was near the desk, so you can charge your laptop or phone conveniently.

Amazing staff, perfect breakfast (those waffles were something else!), a spotless pool with just the right water temperature, a great bar, and everything absolutely pristine. This hotel is amazing! Perfection in every detail! Everything from the design and furniture to the bed linen, the softest pillows and the spa-shower in the room exceeds expectations! Breakfast was great! The hotel restaurant is Michelin rated and there is also a very nice bar. The hotel staff are very friendly and courteous.     The spa resort is very well maintained and very clean. The sauna world is an amazing place, and the classes are a great experience. The staff are friendly and speak many languages, including English. If the staff did not speak English, they kindly asked people around to help translate. We learnt a little of the German language, and they did not judge us for trying. I'd advise learning the German language before travelling it helps. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were modern.

    The best view you can imagine on the wolfsgang sea and the mountains. Breakfast is special in the way it's served. The team is very friendly and you get a family feeling. The hotel manager even helped me the change in my rental car the language from Hungarian to English.

    Linz is an industrial and admin centre on the (definitely not blue) Danube river . Small airport with (as at July 2025) 2 flights a week from London STN. Pedestrianised town centre with a mix of old and new architecture gives no clue that the pleasant clean town has an active steel works. No special tourist draw but a reasonable base for touring and onward travel, Large Danube cruise ships stop at Linz but most passengers are sent to Salzburg by coach and make minimal contribution to the Linz economy.

    Beautiful place to visit. Better staying overnight - get up early or go out after the day trippers have left town to appreciate the atmosphere and beauty. Go do the caves, five fingers etc during the day.

    A more beautiful peaceful vacation could not be imagined. The mountains are breathtaking. The quietness speaks to you, and I left feeling more peaceful than I have in years. We were there in May, and I understand the tourist scene in June and July is a bit busier. There is a lot to do in the village besides gazing at the scenery. Delicious eats, friendly hosts, charming souvenir shops and the ferry that goes up and down the St Wolfgangsee are some of the delights.

    We travelled with 3 different trains from Vienna to...

    We travelled with 3 different trains from Vienna to Obertraun in order to visit Hallstat. Unfortunately, the transportation wasn't very convenient for us. One of the trains that we had arranged was late and we had to wait two more hours in order to get the last train to Obertraun. We departed from Vienna at 8:00 and we arrived to Obertraun at 15:30! Obertraun was very close to Hallstat. Hallstat is a magical place but next time I would prefer to visit it by car.

    This is merely a city for business trips or when you want to visit special events. The city and shopping opportunities are rather limited. We spent a few hours here, travelling through, but we didn't feel that we missed anything when quickly checking out the city.

    Gosau had everything we needed for a wonderful, relaxing holiday - a grocery store, multiple restaurants, beautiful views, friendly people, and many trails for hiking, biking, and walking. Additionally, Gosausee is only a short drive away. We didn't leave Gosau during our entire stay, as there were plenty of things to do, including just relaxing.

    Mondsee is a very pleasant area - very pleasant lakeside gardens and facilities. We were particularly impressed by the Post Shuttle Bus facility which was great for visitors without their own car facilities. The service provided by the Tourist Information Office was also first class.
