Little Valley of Sun and Snow
The Kleinwalsertal, meaning ‘Little Walser valley’, is a well-known ski resort in the Vorarlberg Region of Austria, and has the characteristic of being accessible only from the Oberstdorf village in Germany. It is 15 km long and about 6.5 km wide, surrounded by mountains like the Widderstein at a height of 2,536 metres above sea level.

Great place to stay when you want to go walking/ hiking. We went in the summer, and were amazed by the scenery and well thought out and maintained hiking paths. If you plan to drive here using your own car, it is good to know that nearly every parking is payed, it isn't much, usually 4 or 5 euros a day, but if you plan to drive about a bit this can quickly add up.Guest review byLoutjuNetherlands - 10.0
Charming town with amazing views of mountains.
Charming town with amazing views of mountains. It's a resort town, lots of shops for ski and hike clothing, shoes, apparatus, lots of restaurants. The Kanzelwand cable car to the top of the mountain is great. The church is so lovely, and its bells ring all day (but not all night). We were there in August, hot at home, so cool and refreshing in Riezlern. The views are fantastic in every direction, the air is so clean and fresh, the cows in summer pasture make such beautiful music with their bells. We love to visit Kleinwalsertal in summer for the cable car rides on multiple mountains. This hotel provides the summer pass card for that. Hirschegg is in the middle of the valley, with cable cars on both sides. The town is quiet and so lovely. It's an excellent location for a ton of hiking trails also.Guest review byDIANAGermany
