- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 110 reviewsTo put it long ... Rooms: They are not new, but they were clean and fully equipped. The room temperature was exactly on the spot, and we had more than enough space. Restaurant: We had a half-board option. Indeed as other comments point out, there is not much of a choice. Nevertheless, the quality of the food was impeccable. One evening we actually wandered if the restaurant had a Michelin star. Amazing cooking, even in simple/home-style meals. (Not to mention that they have a lot of house-made stuff which tasted great). To put it simply I prefer quality over quantity, and the restaurant provided! SPA: Everything was nice and clean. The pool was warm enough, not too hot, but the kids could enjoy it without a problem. The sauna great, we used it every evening after skiing. One nice touch are the spa-towels which are provided. So you do not need to carry it from your room and back. Game rooms and others: As I have two kids, it was really important for me that they have a place to have fun. The Hotel provided a great playroom for the children. It was clean and well equipped. During our stay they did not got tired of it. On one day we even played bowling that you can find on the premises of the Hotel. They also got other activities like: pool(billiard), darts, table-football and a lot of board-games. Besides this rooms, the hotel has a nice ski room where you can leave the skis and warm the ski-boots. On top of it all, there is a quite, nice and large elevator that is a blessing after a day of skiing. Location: The location if nice, a lot of stores around. The bus stop just in front of the hotel. The Ski Area(Alpbachtal) is about 10 km away. 15 min by car. Staff: I left this part at the end, since we appreciated the Staff most. From day 1 the owner would call us by name, so did the waiter at the restaurant. It felt like home instantly. From owner, to cook, to the cleaning lady, everyone was helpful and friendly. Thank you very much for this stay.Guest review byCristianGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 47 reviewsWe have stayed at Windhaghof for a week. We have visited many places in the area but this is so far the best farm house we have stayed in. The view from all rooms is stunning-serene mountains and forest landscape. The house is designed beautifully and maintained to a high standard. It includes all the facilities needed to accommodate all needs for a family and friends from all ages. From swings and bikes for the little ones to a modern sauna that is set up to use especially for you and your close ones. The location is perfect for those looking to escape the business of the city. There is a short cut walk to the local shops and restaurants. For those who comes to ski, Ski Juwel Albachtal Wildschonau is the nearest that offers good opportunities for beginners and intermediate skiers. If this is not enough, Zillertal is another area that is only 20 mins drive that can satisfy any skier. The owners are very friendly and kind family, always keen to assist. You won’t be left disappointed if you try the local milk they produce. Looking forward to return to this wonderful place.Guest review byBoryanaUnited Kingdom

- From £206.74 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 323 reviewsIt was not the first time we visited this place. We like it to live in a castle with original furniture (but of course up to date bath room). The service is friendly and efficient, the rooms are large, clean and well maintained. Really a great place to spend some nights.Guest review byWerner WiderSwitzerland

Beautiful village.
Beautiful village. The ski is intermediate level and the runs are limited. Probably not quite enough for a week in all honesty. More of a 5 day resort. Not for beginners as not enough longer blue slopes.Guest review byIslaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The natural beauty of the location, and I mean the specific location of Haidachhof in particular, is stunning. It's a small and peaceful ski resort village and all the locals we met were super nice. Local ski shop (H&N sport) is world top, and our stay at the Haidachhof pension was very pleasant.Guest review byPaoloUnited States - 8.0

My visit to Kramsach was an absolute delight for any nature lover. Nestled amid the spectacular Tyrolean Alps, the area boasts a serene landscape of lush meadows, crystal-clear lakes, and charming riversides. The walking and hiking trails are well-marked and lead you through peaceful forests and alongside scenic lake shores, offering breathtaking panoramic views at every turn. One of the highlights was spending time at the Reintaler See—a picturesque lake perfect for swimming, relaxation, or simply soaking in the idyllic mountain backdrop. The clean air and tranquil surroundings make Kramsach a perfect escape from the bustle of daily life. Whether you’re exploring the valleys, enjoying a picnic, or just watching the clouds drift over the peaks, Kramsach’s nature has a calming and restorative effect. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking the pure beauty and peacefulness of the Austrian countryside.Guest review byÁdámHungary - 8.0
The town was lovely.
The town was lovely. It had a good selection of restaurants, enough for a weeks stay with visiting the same one twice. A good number of restaurants were in walking distance from the property. Plenty of places to visit and see.Guest review bykevin - 8.0
If you’re looking for a family friendly hotel in Alpbach...
If you’re looking for a family friendly hotel in Alpbach this is for you. Fab facilities, the indoor pool and family spa were a big hit with our children. Food was great, children’s buffet was a winner, adult options were also delicious. Be aware drinks are not included, not even soft drinks, so you do get a bill at the end. The staff were all very friendly and spoke great English. Location was great. We drove from the UK and the use of the underground garage was free and fab. If you don’t have a car then the ski bus stops right outside. For anyone with children learning to ski, there is a fab blue learner run in town walkable from the chalet. Our children had it to them selves both times used. If you like a softer mattress be ware the beds are quite hard, and only 1 pillow each. Luckily we had spare pillows in the car my children used to sleep on to make the sofa bed feel slightly softer. Otherwise fantastic stay, and would definitely stay again.Guest review byAbigail clementsUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Kramsach is well located near the motorway with access to ski areas and walks. Not much in the way of a centre just a few shops and restaurants scattered around. I think a car is essential if you are using Kramsach as a base.Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom
