I booked Grand Duka Hotel & SPA for a work trip and ended up enjoying every part of it. The staff were warm and welcoming from the first moment, helping me settle in after a long drive. My room was spotlessly clean, with a super comfortable bed and a calm, elegant style that felt much more luxurious than I expected. Between meetings, I managed to try the spa, sauna, and gym, and all were beautifully maintained and easy to access. The breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of local and international choices, and I even treated myself to dinner one night at the atrium restaurant, which was surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant. What really stood out was how peaceful the hotel felt even though it’s right in the center of Durrës. You’re close to everything but can still truly relax. I’d absolutely stay here again, business or not.

We had an incredible stay! The view from the window was absolutely stunning. The room was spotless and luxurious, and the location couldn’t be more perfect.     Outstanding hotel on the first line beach in Durrës , Plazh area . Huge new rooms as per the photo on booking. Every room has a very comfortable bed , silky white bedsheets , huge bathroom with all amenities, shampoo, soap, sleepers , towels , hair dryer. Room has sleeping area , sitting area equipment with comfortable armchairs , huge TV and a jacuzzi in the room. As a family of 3 adults we had 2 rooms and they were nearly identical with 2 balconies equipped with chairs and tables overlooking the sea. Outstanding view of the beach. Very good WI-Fi. Free parking available inside the propriety, excellent restaurant, tasty food and outstanding bar . People working are so friendly and helpful that you feel like at home . In the hotel all speak fluent Italian and English so no problems of communication.It’s only 30min driving from Tirana.We will definitely come back and there is no other place that we will stay than VIVAS hotel.

    We actually had a different reservation in Durrës. When we arrived at the house we had booked (Premium Beachfront Residence), we were shocked because it bore no resemblance to the photos on Booking. We were so disappointed that we found this hotel at the last minute. And we're so glad we did. We were very pleased. The location is right on the beach. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great. Thank you for saving our day.

    Everything! The room was so big and comfortable. If you travel with a baby we highly recommend this hotel. They have everything you need to make it a unique experience, big rooms, beautiful and safe pool and access to the beach. We enjoyed so much this hotel. The spa is very nice. The best of all the people, Ali, the cleaning ladies, the host, everyone!     Durres is a city of contrast from the Roman ampitheater to the beach, pool and shopping. Tasting the fresh fish from one of the seafront restaurants is a must but make sure you also fill up on byrek and sufflaqe! Pelikan has lots of amazing cakes for sweet treats, Tropikal resort has an amazing pool you can use for the day (1000leke) and the market is a hidden gem for bargains. The bus from the beach at Plepa along to the city Center gets VERY busy but for 40leke saves the stress of driving and trying to park and everywhere is then just a short walk. We love Durres and will be back.

    This is perfect for its purpose!

    This is perfect for its purpose! A clean, comfy bed to catch some sleep before a flight. We could return our car, walk to Rinas to sleep and walk to the airport in the early morning. It worked out perfectly. Safe, clean & our bed was actually the most comfortable we had in our 2 weeks in Albania.

    Krujë is a lovely spot with both cultural and visual appeal.

    Krujë is a lovely spot with both cultural and visual appeal. One day is sufficient to see what there is to experience. I stayed an extra day because I had work to do online. Be warned, this is a mountain down so you will be doing a lot of up and downhill walking. Reconsider if you have mobility issues.

    We had to drive, but it wasn't a problem for us. We discovered some really nice local bars and restaurants. Duka Wine Estate is definitely recommended, just a 10-minute drive away! Lej & Laj, we'll definitely be back!

    Very beautiful beach, clean air surrounded by pine trees, family oriented, a lot of fresh and testy quality local food. Outstanding sunrise and sunset. The best I have ever seen so far. I would recommend to have options of water activities for the families and the kids even though there is plenty of ground activities available.

    The people were all friendly, lots of bars and restaurants. Try to take plenty local currency, or Euros. Lots of places are cash only and the banks fees are up to 20%. The old town is lovely. The promenade is made for walking. Miles long.

    Lovely and clean place. Though quite small, there's plenty to explore - picturesque Bazaar under the castle with loads of lovely souvenirs where everyone is sure to find something to their taste and budget. Pretty restaurants and places of accommodation. Small shops but well stocked with things you might need. Shop owners and people working in restaurants speak decent English and the menus are available in both Albanian and English. The grounds of Krujë Castle don't seem to be large but there's a lot to explore and admire. You can walk among the romantic ruins, relax and enjoy the vista. If you venture out in the countryside, you can walk in olive groves among grazing sheep, goats and cows and if you are lucky, you can meet a local riding a donkey. If you love hiking, there's Krujë mountain. The best thing about Krujë is undoubtedly its location with stunning views - and that was what we loved the most about the place!

    I loved our stay here.

    I loved our stay here. The beach is great - clean, not too busy as locals go there and only 1 or 2 hotels on the coast, so not overloaded by tourists like some European destinations. Beautiful beach, warm sea. Just perfect.

    We were not directly in the city but near the beach of San...

    We were not directly in the city but near the beach of San Pietro.Our place was beautiful , clean with a nice long beach. I would not recommend the city itself for accommodation due to dirty beach with a not very nice smell during our visit. I definitely recommend going further south or outside the city. There are still beautiful hotels and the city itself is very nice
