The location is excellent for hiking around Katterjock, Riksgransen and Laktatjakka.

This property offers access to a patio, free private parking and free WiFi. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Aurora River Camp was a bucket list experience for us..! It is located by a river (frozen during winter) across from the famous Ice Hotel, to which you could walk to (and we did). We stayed in a tiny glass igloo which was an extraordinary experience by itself. The main building offers a kitchen and shared bathrooms and showers as the igloos are only 10 m2 and only offer a composting toilet and a sink and a mini fridge (which is below the flooring). The igloo was very warm and pretty high tech. Our intention was to catch the Aurora Borealis and we did! It may be the best place to watch the Northern Lights in all of Swedish Lapland and you can just go out to the frozen river and have a 360 degree view.. Tony the camp manager picked us up and dropped us off as it is off the main center of Kiruna and waited for us for a food run at the local Coop.. He also advised up on when and where to catch the northern lights and checked up on us when the aurora borealis showed up.. He is a great host! This was one of the best nights of our lives. If you want the full Aurora Borealis experience, go there and stay at an igloo..!! Bucket list experience!!

Arctic Colors Northern Lights Apartments features mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Porjus. Featuring luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The apartment has family rooms. The host was extremely friendly and accommodating. They had great recommendations for us to do that were beyond just touristy activities. They were also always available for communication via booking.com. The property location is a bit isolated but that is what made it even more special to enjoy the northern lights and the snow. Kitchen was well equipped for us to cook there the whole time.

Set in Riksgränsen, 43 km from Ofoten Museum, Niehku Mountain Villa offers accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The accommodation provides ski storage space, as well as a bar and massage services. The property has a sauna and free WiFi. Niehku Mountain Villa is truly an unique place. The views from the hotel are spectacular and the building and its history are one of a kind. The staff and the service in the hotel were excellent. They made our stay very pleasant.

Boasting a sauna, Lovely house in Abisko is situated in Abisko. This property offers access to a patio and free private parking. Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, the non-smoking country house features a sauna. The home was perfect for our stay. The bathrooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The laundry and drying room was great. And the SAUNA was the best!

Featuring lake views, Arctic Gourmet Cabin in Kiruna features accommodation, free bikes, a garden, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. The host, Johan, was really nice and hospitable and the location itself was lovely as it was remote and allowed us to gaze up at the aurora without light pollution getting in the way. Unfortunately I believe those were the only two reasons I was not entirely disappointed with my choice.

Situated 5.7 km from Kiruna Train Station, Scandic Kiruna offers 4-star accommodation in Kiruna and has a bar. Featuring a restaurant, the property also has free bikes, as well as a fitness centre and a sauna. The property is non-smoking and is set 3.7 km from Kiruna Bus Station. Very comfortable lobby space, good-view sauna and best location(access from airport, bus and shopping).

Guests can enjoy a complimentary entrance ticket to the IceHotel. The area around the property is popular for outdoor winter activities such as dog sledding, reindeer sled excursions, and snowmobile tours. The staff will also be happy to arrange activities such as river rafting, hiking, and fishing. During summer season, guests will experience midnight sun. In the winter, guests can enjoy northern lights if lucky. There was a large selection of food and ir was all delicious.

The Aurora Spa can be accessed for a surcharge. Ski tracks and hiking trails are right next door. Snowmobiling, ice fishing and dog sledding are popular in winter. Summer leisure options include horse riding, guided city tours and hiking. Cozy, clean and quiet cabins. Very good breakfast and dinner. Helpful staff. On-site free parking. Did not try the SPA unfortunately, but looked nice from the outside.
