馬籠ふるさと学校 Magome Furusato Gakkou está en Nakatsugawa, a 11 min a pie de Toson Memorial Museum, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y terraza. This was such a cool experience. The building is very nice. All the beautiful wood and features. Taking your shoes off at entree, sliding doors, gymnasium, kitchen. Amazing. Even more amazing was the staff. The explained every thing well, gave recommendations for food and travel. I even got lucky and hitched a ride back to Nakatsugawa, with a perfect pitstop at Hillbilly Coffee (highly recommend). I stayed here after walking Nakasendo Trail from Tsumago. Perfect place to stay after. Do not hesitate. Go here. Book!

Mercure Hida Takayama es un alojamiento con una buena ubicación en el centro de Takayama que ofrece habitaciones con aire acondicionado, restaurante, wifi gratis y bar. Hermosa decoración de todo el hotel. Habitaciones espaciosas y muy lindas. Cama súper cómoda. Osen disponible dentro del precio de la habitación para disfrutar de las instalaciones y experimentar algo distinto. Muy conforme!

熱海温泉 実の別荘 está en Atami, a 19 min a pie de Playa de Atami Sun y a 27 km de Estación Hakone-Yumoto. Close to 来宮駅 Kinomiya Station just next to Atami. I could walk to Kinomiya shrine from the hotel. Nice view from the room seeing birds and squirrel and I could see the Hatsushima Island. It is very peaceful atmosphere around this area. The Hotel was clean and a nice big size. Private spring bath was great! There was a large window in the lounge room morning sun shine straight through. Owner of this hotel was very kind and helpful. I am very happy to find this Hotel.

Residence Hotel Takayama Station ofrece alojamiento con una ubicación excelente en el centro de Takayama y ofrece centro de fitness, wifi gratis y terraza. Out of all the hotels I’ve stayed in in Japan, this one is by far the best. The room is very clean and fragrant, and has complete amenities in the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. It even has a washing machine that is easy to use. I also love the balcony - it has a great view of the train station. The staff are really nice. They communicate and respond well to questions. They even offered me extra bottled water when I requested for more. One of them also helped me with my luggage delivery even though he was on his break. The hotel is in a perfect location, just beside the bus/train station. There’s a FamilyMart nearby and everything is a short walking distance away. I really got my money’s worth. I would definitely stay here again! I had a lovely time.

Fabulous room: private outdoor onsen, huge bath tube and a separate balcony. Big TV set with huge couch to sit on. Outstanding breakfast. Extremely attentive and supportive staff. All services — at a top notch. Great choice for a few days relax from Tokyo hype.

Onyado Yuinosho, Shirakawago se encuentra en Shirakawa, a 45 km de Localidad Museo de Hida Minzoku Mura, y ofrece alojamiento con salón de uso común, parking privado gratis, restaurante y bar. It felt like a premium experience. The room was bigger than expected which felt good. The onsen had a lot of options such as a sauna and cold dip among more.

HOTEL WOOD TAKAYAMA es un alojamiento muy bien situado en Takayama que ofrece bar, wifi gratis, servicio de masajes y habitaciones con aire acondicionado. Se ofrece parking privado por un suplemento. Todo, execelente hotel, maravillosa experiencia 💕 el spa es muy bueno y la barra libre de bebidas también.

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. The people working there are both friendly, helpful and caring, it felt like they had a genuine intrest in their guests. The common areas are clean and cosy with a relaxed vibe, and when I was there the guests interacted with each other so you could get to know new people if you wanted to. The place was also in walking distance to both the bus station, old part of town and to a shopping mall with a proper supermarket. If you dont want to walk, there is a 7/11 right next door, or there is the possibility to buy food and coffee at the place. If I come back to Takayama I would choose to stay here again
