We had a room in the annex with privat onsen. The room was well equipped and for two people very spacious. The privat onsen was just perfect after a day of exploring the region or for a relaxing dip before breakfast. Btw, be sure to add the delicious japanese style breakfast when you arrive! For 1200 yen per person and night this is an absolute bargain! Staff was so nice, we had an amazing stay. It's a traditional japanese inn, don't expect a 5* hotel here!

Owner so kind and warm welcome, they have free breakfast, snack and beverage . House is bigger than I thought. It is dark at night. It is recommended to arrive at the accommodation before the sunsets and read the guide carefully because It may cause you to go the wrong way and find a small path that the car cannot pass in case you have rent car. Although didn't have english manual but owner come to teach how to use anything. We communicate with google translate but no problem.

This hoteI is new and very clean. The owner of the hotel is a very nice and very helpful. I can see the beatiful view of the mountain from the window of the hotel. The private onsen is very impressive. I got lost because my GPS doesn't work and I got there late at night. Fortunately, I brought the phone number and the name of the hotel in Japanese. The owner is so nice to come to pick me up and take me to the hotel safely.

It was spacious, clean, well-equipped, comfortable and excellent value for money. The owner was very welcoming, hospitable and kind. It was great to have our own onsen which looked out to the unit's small Japanese garden. We slept on the futon section of the property and we had a good night's sleep. There was an option to sleep on a double bed in the other section of the property. We had a rental car and we had no problem getting to the property by typing in the phone number into the navigation system. We had a small car and the parking space was ok. We enjoyed our lovely stay there and would have loved to stay longer!

Firstly, the staffs. We felt so welcomed right from arrival. Their English isn't perfect (mine isn't, either) but there were very polite and attentive, always smiling too! The room was amazing! Totally as shown in the photos (minus one chair, which was a bit disappointing), and more! Spacious, homely, traditional, and the view was unforgettable! We spent hours looking outside. The food was the highlight for us. We booked half-board with dinner and breakfast, all 4 meals were sooo GOOD!! They also changed it every time so the longer you stay, the more you get to try! Do note that the 'arrival and departure' taxis to and from Yufuin station are covered by the hotel.

Great location with very nice facilities and a cat that likes playing. The host does not speak English and I didn't speak much Japanese, but with a smartphone and a translation app we managed to communicate easily. I was allowed to leave my luggage even before the official time and to my surprise was allowed to check in immediately as the room was free. The private onsen has everything one might need and it can be used from 3pm to 10am. Perfect after a hike around the beautiful area.
