It has only been built for 4 years and is new. The location was excellent a short walk to the main street. The Com is attached to the Pub the Commercial Hotel so could pop in for a drink or a meal if you liked. The building design was quite different with separate motel rooms(almost a tiny home) separated by empty garages on two levels Our room had lovely afternoon sun. Plenty of parking and space. Built in front of the big rock cliffs of Whakatane and the Tuis were very busy in the bush in the morning - lovely.

The apartment layout was very nice, and had everything we needed to make us feel at home, including a washer/dryer in the bathroom. The neighborhood had a lot of shops and restaurants, and it was only 10-15 min drive from downtown Auckland. The large bay windows to the balcony were a nice addition, and let a lot of light into the apartment.

A bit out of the center in a good way. Still within walking distance of a supermarket and some restaurants. Access to the river was great. Spacious room. Full kitchen, well-equipped overall. A lodge-like feel. Quiet.

Situated just 8 minutes’ drive from the beautiful Lake Rotorua, this resort offers free Wi-Fi, mini golf and a heated pool with spa pool. Most accommodation feature a patio. Some offer a spa bath. Location was perfect and staff were very welcoming on check in

The hotel was quite luxurious and very very clean. We would recommend and definitely stay there again. Many thanks also for allowing us a late departure.
