We absolutely loved this hotel and it totally lived up to the reviews. Every single member of staff was so nice and we could tell they ell enjoyed working there. The Hotel Palacio de Meras is a four star hotel and only about €8 p/p more than a hostel if you are staying in a double room. We literally thought we were in the wrong place when we arrived. It felt so luxurious!!! The rooms are large and have all the perks of an expensive hotel - great quality soap and shampoo in the bathrooms, a two-sided adjustable make-up mirror, a hair dryer...a mini-fridge... It has a formal dining room, a bar and tables out in the plaza. The portions were insanely big and delicious. And the location is great. A block away from a supermarket, half a block from a pharmacy, and close to other key businesses like cafes, bakeries, and bars.

We felt well taken care of from the moment we arrived. We were very tired from a long day of backpacking. The staff went to great lengths to ensure we had all that we needed. The restaurant recommendation across the road from the hotel was the best meal we have had yet during our stay in Spain. The restaurant owner was delightful and extremely creative with her dishes.
