We had a truly wonderful stay at Rock Shade Chalet – Sigiriya. The chalet was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with a beautiful natural setting close to the main attractions. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and freshly prepared, making our stay very comfortable. A special mention goes to Mr. Lasantha, who gave us massive support throughout our stay. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care made a big difference. Furthermore, he arranges Sri Lankan cooking lessons for foreign guests, which is a wonderful initiative to share our food and culture with the world. What impressed us most is that all of this is offered at an affordable price, and the team works tirelessly 24/7 to give their very best to guests. Overall, Rock Shade Chalet is a perfect place for a peaceful family getaway, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sigiriya.

Sigiriya Hillside View Villa se encuentra a 2,6 km de Yacimiento arqueológico de Sigiriya y ofrece jardín y terraza, así como alojamiento con aire acondicionado, balcón y wifi gratis. El alojamiento lo lleva la familia de forma conjunta (principalmente el hijo mauor y la madre, aunque el hijo pequeño auuda siempre aue puede y tambien el padre, que trabaja en otra ciudad). Cada uno aporta en lo que puede. Son todos super amables y se esfuerzan para que tu estancia sea lo mejor posible. La madre cocina riquisimo, todo comida local, quitandole el picante expresamente para nosotros. La comida era variada, cenamos todos los días allí. Además, el precio era baratisimo. La familia tambien tiene un tuk-tuk, y te llevan y traen a donde les pidas. De nuevo con muy buen precio (en ningun caso te cobran como si fueses un turista al que se le caen los billetes). Sadeepa, el hermano mayor, tiene un ingles fabuloso, y tuvimos la suerte de charlar con él varias horas cada día. Tiene una conversación muy interesante que cubre desde que visitar en la zona, costumbres locales, o la historia de como su abuelo preparó el arrozal (antes era jungla) que hay frente al alojamiento y que la familia aún a dia de hoy cultiva. Sólo hay dos habitaciones en el alojamiento, y están ubicadas en la misma finca en la que vive la familia, separada por un bonito jardín. Desde la entrada del alojamiento se ve perfectamente Sigirilla, con la jungla al fondo y un bonito arrozal en primer plano.

The host was exceptional, making me feel right at home and going out of his way to help with everything, from organizing attractions and tuktuk to go around Sigiriya to helping me when I needed. His care and dedication made all the difference. The room was nice, spotless and had everything I needed, offering both comfort and practicality. Breakfast was a daily delight, with homemade local dishes that were not only delicious but also varied and thoughtfully prepared. The garden was a peaceful oasis, full of life with birds enjoying fruits – such a calm and relaxing scenery. And the view of Lion Rock? Simply beautiful with the rice fields around. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay – everything was perfect, and I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone!

Everything was perfect! This is a family owned business. The location was perfect, in Sigiriya, close to national parks and Lions Rock, and also close to many nice bars and restaurants. The house is placed in a beautiful garden, where you can watch some small animals like squirrels, birds and monkeys. The brakefast was big and amazing. The family was super nice and sweet, we felt very good in their home. Also they organised us a safari for a good price, and we saw many elephants. Highly recommended!

Isanka Lion Lodge está en Sigiriya y dispone de vistas al jardín, piscina al aire libre, jardín, salón de uso común, terraza y restaurante. The owner was incredibly helpful and advised us well on how make the most of our time in beautiful Sigiriya. He happily drove us wherever we needed to go in his tuk tuk which is a real advantage. While there are some parts of the hotel still being built, the rooms are very clean, cozy, and tastefully furnished. The location is within 200 meters walking distance to several restaurants, etc. and the Lion Rock park is only ~5 minutes away

Honestly can't recommend Sigiriya Lake Paradise enough! Stayed here for 5 nights and it felt like home. The location is stunning literally on a lake with a view of Lion's Rock. Chami and the family are super friendly and helpful, they even came with me on some day trips and made sure I was sorted with everything. And the food Absolutely delicious.If you're heading to Sigiriya, definitely book in here. You won't regret it.
