We really enjoyed how we have been integrated, we felt just like another member of the family. We were looking for an authentic experience to spend aluth aruvudu (Buddhist new Year) and we could not have dreamed of something better than the few days we lived at the SNF. After 1month and a half we have never experienced this kind of welcome elsewhere. The whole family is very open minded, intelligent, sensitive, curious but what probably touched us the most is their willingness to share everything: Food (of course) but also what life learned them in general whether it is practical skills like cooking, cutting a coconut, observing nature or more "soft skills" like their view on life and their wisdom. We hope to come back as we know this was a unique and special experience.

We visited silver hill Ecovillage for 2 nights to relax before driving back to Negombo and fly out of the country. It was a great idea for relaxation and organising ourselves. The place is truly the last house on the hill and it is peaceful and full of vegetation. There is a small pool with natural water which is nice to cool yourself down, I loved the hammocks in the kitchen area with the amazing view where I read my book. If you decided to go please pet Lassi, the cutest dog ever. She’s nice and playful and made us smile many times😀 Just a note about the road going there - be mindful that the road closer to the hotel is not paved and a bit rocky but we managed to cross it with our Tuktuk.

A cool and relaxing place in the hills but only 10 mins by tuk-tuk from the city, up narrow and winding roads which add to the feeling of 'getting away from it all'. Very friendly and helpful staff. A member of staff who drives the property's tuk-tuk also built much of the garden and is rightfully proud of it. Beautiful living room and bedroom. Excellent views over the hills. Massive local breakfast.

Excellent Breakfast Reliable and worth the money spent This is a fantastic bungalow to stay very convenient to the central areas in kandy. The rooms were very clean and comfortable you will experience the colonial bungalow experience. The manger was very friendly and the caretaker was very helpful throughout our stay. Oh wow, wjere do i even start! This gem of a villa is hidden through the tea fields of Hanthana, super close to Kandy. Sanjaya, the host, has done an amazing job in building this villa and does an even better job at being the nicest host ever. He welcomed us, gave us a lift with his own car a couole of times and even brought us breakfast twice and lunch once. 10/10 experience, would def come back!
