We came for the birding and it certainly did not disappoint! Loved the refreshing pool, trails, flora & fauna, and the stunning views of the volcano and lake. Our room had a spectacular view of Lake Arenal which was framed by a large magnificent tree. No tiring of the changing views everywhere.

Cabins very comfortable and clean. Set back from road so quiet and got to see amazing wildlife from our terrace. Family run farm very friendly and helpful. Pool and covered area for cooking and eating great as we were a group of 6. We walked across road from property to arenal volcano hike and also locals hot water river pools 20mins walk away.

Arenal lodge is a real Costa Rican gem hidden at the top of a hill. The views are magnificent, the natural grounds are infinite and with swimming pool and jacuzzi, the food is excellent, the staff is courteous but the true gift of this place is Dona Teresa who takes the meaning of hospitality to another level. She truly invested herself in making us feel comfortable and ensuring we had the best possible stay. She personally arranged all our tours and made sure we had transport to our next destination. Oh by the way the food was also lovely. He knows what is spicy what you ask him what is spicy! Don't go without the argentina pizza and cas juice! Great service, amazing food with many ingredients grown at the same facilities (eggs, fish, coffee, etc.). Comfortable rooms and a feeling of contact with nature. I loved to fall asleep with the sound of the river at night.
