Excellent hotel with great service, staff was very nice and helpful! The location is golden, in the heart of the old city, with great views on the harbour. Our room was quiet, very comfortable and big. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, with typical food and more continental options, and everything was well taken care of and tasty !

I was supposed to stay in an Airbnb nearby but the key wasn’t in the key box so I booked this place very last minute at 21:30 at night and they had this room available and it was just perfect . Staff were nice, breakfast was excellent. Simple but good. Room and beds were very comfortable. It was also slightly lower priced than a hotel my aunt was staying in around the corner and where she had a terrible experience as well. Would definitely stay again.

Bryggen

These colourful wooden houses line the harbour and form one of the most iconic districts in Bergen. A physical reminder of the trade conducted here from the 14th to mid-16th century, the bright white, yellow, red and blue wooden buildings are a beautiful contrast to the icy North Sea. Take some photos and then explore the little alleyways, where you’ll find quirky galleries and cute cafés.

Loved walking through this old area of Bergen and seeing these historical buildings. Worth taking the time to do some homework, or a tour, on the history of these buildings. This way you'll appreciate what you're seeing more.

Classic area with fish market and the multi-colored buildings and old town. Very touristy. Would recommend going early in the morning or evening but not eating in this area as the prices are generally inflated.

Many nice shops to find some special items. Make sure to go down the side streets and go in and out of the special shops hidden off the Main Street. Everyone was so helpful and kind to us. It was very rainy the day we were there but still nice.

The location of the hotel is excellent - handy for walking to the shops, Bryggen, transport links and tours which depart from near the Tourist Information. The breakfast at the hotel was very good with lots of choice and complimentary tea and coffee 24/7 was a nice touch. The staff were very helpful, especially the Manager, Lene, who very quickly sorted out a problem we had with our room. Overall an enjoyable stay.

Great location on the Bryggen harbour front. Fantastic breakfast including an area to sit out in good weather. Hôtel staff at reception and at breakfast were incredibly friendly and attentive. We upgraded to the front balcony room where we sat at the window and watched the world and boats go by. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

The location of the apartment was excellent - right in the heart of Bryggen so everything was very walkable - we walked up to the top of Mount Floyen on one day. Good facilities at the apartment and it was clean. It was rainy while we were there so didn't make as much use of the outdoor terrace as planned - but the terrace was pleasant all the same.

Free waffles in the late afternoon was a definite bonus! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The historic Bryggen sector, remnant of an active Hansa-league international trade dating from the 1300s, gives you the feel of what the city was like in the 1700s. Nothing else like it.
