Make sure you get a good experienced guide who will show you all over the park - a 7 hour trip is more likely to find leopards and will take you off the beaten track and away from the many other jeep tours. stay in a locals b&b and book a tour with a local guide. we stayed in a familt b&b and had this most amazing safar in the park for 4hrs with the son of the family we stayed with.. its cost s £20 each and has been one of the best things we ever did. our guide didn't follow all the other trucks and we go to see amazing animals up close and all on our own.Guest review byLisaUnited Kingdom

He is very friendly and super attentive. We booked our safari trip to Udawalawe National Park through the hotel and it was such an easy process. The entrance to the park is really close and our safari guide was brilliant. We stayed in the apartment, which was fantastic and had a gorgeous view from the balcony. The pool area was also great.
