Daintree Discovery Centre is an all-singing, all-dancing visitor centre where you can learn all about this magnificent forest. An informative audio tour is included in the price, so you can get all the information you want through your headset, at your own pace. To get a different view of the forest, shimmy up the Canopy Tower and see the treetops stretch out into the distance.

It's fabulous, but crowded -- try and pick a time when the crowds are less. The climb up is steep, so be prepared (it was May when I was there and warm). The only downside is the stupid selfie takers who barely look around at the wonderful buildings, site, and view. They spoil it for others when then can. I used to check out the Parthenon from my window at different times of the day, bathed in different sunlight. The hotel is modern, very stylish and perfectly positioned within walking distance of everything, and yet away from the crowd. Staff members are very welcoming. There is always a nice treat and refreshment served in the reception hall. Breakfast is very nice - small samples of a large variety of very high-quality food.
