The property was very special to us. The room decorated with good taste, everything clean, a lot of space, comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was perfect, food delicios and everyday we got new dishes to try. The personel was always attentive to our needs and their clothing was giving the place an elegant feeling. We felt very welcomed and we will recommend this place to all of our friends. Thank you a million times!

Prague Castle

There’s more to Prague than pilsner lager. Not your average beer garden, the illustrious grounds of Prague Castle welcome thousands of ale enthusiasts for this yearly celebration of Czech microbreweries. Entrance includes a programme, souvenir glass and all the beer you can drink. Na zdraví (cheers)!

Plan a whole day and take your time soaking in the history. There are good little cafes tucked into side areas of castle. Wait for cathedral to have opened and line to decrease before trying to enter. Enjoyed the beautiful gardens. Exit through the gardens and walk back downhill into city for great views and less crowded paths.

There is no easy access for people with issues with walking! The ticket and information office should be somewhere near the entrance rather than at the end of the castle! Hence, the design, heritage, view, and the cathedral are worth exploring. Be aware that you need 3 to 5 hours to see everything!

Impressive group of buildings on top of the hill with fab views over Prague. Recommend U Pivrnce Hradčany for lunch: Good beer and traditional Czech food. I had Bohemian dumplings with beef goulash and homemade potato pancakes - Excellent! It's set back a bit from the road in a courtyard at Hradčanské nám. 60/12, 110 00 Praha 1-Hradčany, Czechia, so is perhaps a little less crowded than other places. Loved it for our relaxed, unhurried lunch in the sun.

The climb up to the castle isn't too bad, if you're in reasonable condition. The hotel man made out it would be super steep, but wasn't bad at all, especially if you go earlier in the day before it gets too warm. The castle itself isn't as spectacular as you might expect, compared to some English castles, but the cathedral and basilica are worth a visit. The "Golden Mile" is a street with small houses: some have a few interesting museum-type artifacts and history, amd some are just shops, ranging from handmade jewelery to more touristy stuff. The audio tour may be worthwhile if you're particularly interested in learning the history (there are a few information boards with English translations, but there are a lot with no English or no information at all). Bear in mind they need CASH as a deposit for the audiotour machine. We had none so couldn't get one.

The hotel is located at a very convenient location, right next to the Prague castle stairs climb. The Malostranska Metro station is also very near. All of the tourist attractions like Charles Bridge, Letna park are in the vicinity as well. The room was spacious and clean. Plus, the staff is really great and helpful as well.

Great location just behind Prague Castle. The apartment was nice, clean, and comfortable—this was our second stay here, which says a lot. There’s no lift, so be prepared for stairs. Parking is available, though it could be a little cheaper. Overall, a very good stay!

It is very easy to find, fast check in, and great communication with the owner. Not far away from Prague Castle & Airport. So it is very easy to get to the airport if there is an early morning flight. My kids love the bunk beds. There is also Netflix for watching your favourite shows and series. Nice, cosy, clean apartment.

My daughter and I had an excellent stay at the Matylda boat hotel. It was comfortable and quiet and the location was perfect for our stay. The view out the pothole window was a location highlight, being able to see Prague castle in the distance. Sleeping to the sound of the river was so pleasant at night. The restaurant is worth a visit. We were walking distance to everything and would be back in a heartbeat ! Highly recommend.

The apartment I stayed in was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully furnished. The location is on the quieter (grander) side of the river, but within a very easy walk of the Charles Bridge and Prague Castle. There is no reception but check-in and access were well communicated and straightforward. The kitchen was limited (no oven) but otherwise well equipped (and there is an abundance of restaurant options nearby). Truly excellent.

To make the most of the local culture go by foot, Prague Airport Transfers offer free walking tours to transfer customers, however be mindful that Prague Castle is a good hike uphill but well worth the visit especially for the views over the city. Local beers are a must try and much less expensive than imported brands. If using the Metro system, be sure to validate your ticket.
