Good afternoon. I would like to express my gratitude to the staff and owner of the hotel. Incredibly cozy chalet with only 4 rooms. When approaching the hotel, we contacted the owner to clarify where we could park, he met us exactly a minute later. They also kindly provided us with a parking space and on the day of departure, we rode quietly for up to 4 hours. the next day. The room is very cozy, new, stylish, spacious, chalet style. New plumbing, comfortable bed, bathrobes and rubber slippers for the spa. There are 4 bottles of water in the minibar. the room also had 2 separate beds, which is ideal for a family with 2 children. At breakfast in the morning 4 tables were served, the owner kindly offered us coffee. breakfast is hearty and delicious. By the way, after the first day of skiing, we left our skis and boots to dry in a special room. It's nice that you can warm up in the spa in the evening. , there is a jacuzzi and a sauna. the location is perfect, right in the center. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby. shops, a mountain river and of course a ski lift. I'd love to come back again, but I'll ask for a room with a balcony in advance)

Matterhorn

    Definitely take the cog train up Gonergatt.

    Definitely take the cog train up Gonergatt. Hike down at least two rain stops. The views of the Matterhorn and glaciers is stunning and well worth the walk. Be sure to wear good fitting shoes - it is relatively steep and you do not want your feet sliding forward in your shoes. It you have knee problems I would suggest wearing whatever support you normally use.

    It was a great experience as the receptionist was welcoming and attended to us with a friendly face. As for the place itself, it's beauty was undescribable and left at at awe. It is truly a place to go back which we are hoping to go back to next time. Great job and please do continue the great service and maintaining the place.

    Nothing prepares you for just how amazing it is to see this...

    Nothing prepares you for just how amazing it is to see this mountain from Gornergrat. Pay the money take the train up and then hike down a few stops to Riffelsberg. The trails are all downhill, well marked and worth the view. Then later in the evening go to the cemetery in the Englander church and remember the 500+ mountaineers who did not make it back to enjoy hot chocolate.

    We were met at the station and transferred to the apartment. The apartment was in a great location close to the town - 5 minutes walk but in a quiet location. The apartment was very clean, spacious, comfortable with great views of the Matterhorn. We were also able to use the hotel facilities including pool and gym.

    The hotel is a typical chalet-type hotel but it is immaculate inside. It is visibly extra clean and the shower and bathroom was superb. The staff were lovely as was breakfast. Best of all was the view from the balcony looking out at the Matterhorn. Having completed a tour of Switzerland including 5 different hotel stays I have to say that this was the best and I can't wait to return.

    The Hotel Matterhornblick was one of our most memorable stays in Switzerland. We recommend taking advantage of the included breakfast featuring many options to choose from. Basque in the spa area after a long day of hiking. Such a great stay and only an 8 minute walk from the station.

    We liked having an apartment with enough space to sit at a table and have coffee. There was a small kitchen and the balcony had a good view of the Matterhorn. This was my favourite place to stay out of the 7 places we went to in Switzerland, as far as the accommodations went. Walking distance from the train station, but not nearly so busy as the more central area. It has an elevator. Sofa makes into Murphy bed.

    We were upgraded to the Matterhorn Lodge hotel apartments. The apartment was exceptional in every way. Spacious luxurious and pristine in a fabulous location with uninterrupted views of the Matterhorn.Everything in it was top quality pristine and a joy to use.

    Exceptional accomodation, close walk to train station. We forgot a charger for Switzerland and the staff were able to lend us one for our stay. We had an awesome view of the great Matterhorn! The staff were friendly and breakfast included was also amazing! Definitely recommend this hotel.

    The architecture of this hotel perfectly matches the traditional Swiss style of Zermatt, which we really love. The facilities and staff at the front desk are excellent. It is also conveniently located close to the train station and the town center. The hotel even drove us to the train station on the day of our check-out, and we are truly grateful for their kindness. We booked the apartment with Matterhorn view. While you might not be able to see the full of it, but the view is still amazing.

    The apartment was in a good location, a couple of mins walk from the main Zermatt train station and the Gornergrat railway. There were restaurants, a supermarket and a bakery on the same block. The apartment was on the top floor of the building with an elevator available. Interior was spacious with good views of the Matterhorn from the living room and balcony. Keys were collected from the partner hotel reception desk, which isn't staffed until check-in time.
