The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and their fluent English was a pleasant bonus. We tried the local onsen, which was a wonderful experience. The accommodation is simple, as expected from the traditional style, and all the amenities were completely sufficient. There is plenty to do in the surrounding area. I highly recommend it and thank you for a fantastic stay!

The location was perfect for getting away from the busy streets of Tokyo, though I highly recommend renting a (small!) car to get here, as it is tucked away from public trsnsportation routes. Our room was clean, surprisingly well equipped and comfortable. Service was spot on, communication with our host was easy and quick. We never saw any of the staff though, which made the quality of service just that much more impressive. We were the only guests staying here at the time, so we had all facilities to ourselves (an introvert's dream). There were plenty of instructions in english for all the general how-tos, check-in and check-out was easy using the machine. Prepare to face some bugs around the area, we had a few interesting encounters with moths by the entrance. The room itself was equipped with bugspray and deterrents, though we didn't need them as our room was perfectly wildlife free. The bug screen in the private onsen kept the bugs at bay, allowing us to bathe and sleep while enjoying the sounds and smells of the surrounding nature!

Ideally located in the Izu Nagaoka Onsen district, this ryokan provides a terrace, as well as a hot tub. The ryokan offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. I would say this is a hidden gem for a non japanese speaking tourist. Its quite far from popular destination but everything about this inn so so perfect. The hospitality, the cleanliness, the food, all of those are superb. Not to mention the onsens. We got to choose different private onsen room, one of them is jacuzzi! Cant praise this inn enough. We were so happy, even my wife started to cry when we had to leave this property. Definitely will recommend to other travelers.

The property has sea and quiet street views, and is 34 km from Shuzen-ji Temple. The ryokan also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Really like the tatami-style room! Enjoyed the great view of ocean and fancy gazebo! Dinner was also amazing!
