The award-winning Restaurant Aanaar is located in Wilderness Hotel Juutua.... The hotel is by a beautiful river, close to the Siida Museum, and near trails. It has comfortable common areas with close views of the river. The in room sauna was a delight. And the room was spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. Stores and cafes were just a short walk away.

We chose a place to stay further away from the city center, looking for a remote and quiet place away from the tourist crowds, but with the convenience of good service and a restaurant. The host is an awesome guy who cares a lot about his customers, and his little dog, Onni, is a real sweetheart. The place is like old time Lapland accomodation. The atmosphere is very calming, silent and homelike. Food is exceptional here and local products are used to prepare them. We got to also witness the Auroras with a small surprize from our host. Salla Wilderness Lodges se encuentra en Salla, en la región de Laponia finlandesa, a 3,1 km de Estación de esquí de Salla. It is a charming city away from Rovaniemi, it was a bit of scary ride of 2h30min over snow and icy roads. But getting there, we love everything about the place, our room was perfect, the pictures are as true as the experience. We had our private sauna and jacuzzi which we spoiled ourselves everyday. Breakfast and dinner was nice at the receptiom. The place is near to all attraction ski and the middle of nowhere views. We will be returning as we are in love with everything here! We even saw the northern lights from our room.
